Re: 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan (Stow 'N Go) vs 2005 Sienna LE vs 2003 Mazda MPV [sramamur1]
High miles shouldn't be much of concern on a Toyota and (if you can knock the price down a bit) it would be my choice here. I know prices in Canada are higher than the States, but if you're interested in a Chrysler, can't you buy a new one for about that much or a little more? Read More...
2007 Dodge Grand Caravan (Stow 'N Go) vs 2005 Sienna LE vs 2003 Mazda MPV
This is my first post (from Ontario, Canada), hence please bear with me. I am looking to buy a used minivan, details are as follows: 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SE (Stow 'N Go), 19,000 km, $19,000 2005 Toyota Sienna LE, 117,000 km, $15,500 2003 Mazda MPV DX, 100,000 km, $11,000 Each van is in very good condition, all from dealers, Car Proof says no accidents, claims ... I too have this hum noise with 2007 Sienna LE
Take a look at this message where we are discussing this weird noise and see what a dealer and toyota engineering said to one of the sienna owners. http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f169371/7 In my case my wife (and now myself) can't stand this noise - weird noise is weird noise - it shouldn't be there. Toyota Sienna Noises, Rattles, and Squeaks
Re: 2007 sienna - loud hum noise when accelerating [hbandurski]
I have the same noise on my Sienna LE and its becoming unbearable.(loud noise at three specific rpms and it's similar noise to engine struggling for power on an incline, worst is between 50 to 60 mph) I can assure you its NOT the lack of power here, as I am the only one in the minivan, with 3.5liter engine. Its some kind of resonating from the engine. If I back off or ... Read More...
Sienna emmission engine check light
toyota PO1350 VVT Bank#2 by nmerrill Dec 04, 2007
My toyota sienna xle has 110000 miles on it. I had to replace the engine at 82000 because of my fault. Since then the check engine light comes on periodically but has gone out. Car has run fine until recently. The check engine light is always on, my mileage is decreasing and I notice the engine reving when at a stop (this would explain the decrease in mileage). When ... Re: Price Tracking [dennisctc]
I meant 2007 Odyssey. The 2008 Odyssey is a refresh, new VCM for the engine, minor face-lift. That's probably why the 2007s are a bargain. However...the changes are really pretty minor. Good timing, IMHO. The incentives on the Sienna are only about half what they were in May. I predict they will increase, so my advice for Toyota shoppers is to wait. The redesign ... Read More...
Consumer Reports Test of the 2008 DGC and T & C
In the January, 2008 issue of CR, there is a "CR Auto Test Extra" of the 2008 CLLC minivans. I will quote verbatim some of the comments. "We also tested two of Chrysler's redesigned minivans, the best selling (not so far for 2007-author's note)Dodge Grand Caravan and its twin, the Chrysler Town and Country. Both of these 2008 models proved to be disappointing in ... Read More...
Reliability, Brochures
Mary: keep in mind the 4.0l engine is new to the vans, as it the 6 speed transmission. Parts of the powertrain were used in the Pacifica, so those may tell you more about your Dodge than a used Dodge van would. :D hansienna: the 2008 Sienna did add a few features. VSC was made standard on the models that didn't already have it, plus they added Bluetooth connectivity. ... Read More...
Re: Actually... [carcom2]
I mean...what are you talking about? The first-gen Ody was not really even a minivan. The second gen was and was successful. Where I live, I see them on the road every single day. We went to church tonight just as usual. Just for fun, I took inventory of what i saw in the parking lot. I was looking for current gen Ody's, current gen Sienna's and last gen DCS/CTC (not fair ...
