Toyota Sienna Extended Warranty & Service Offers

Re: Pricing extended warranty on used Sienna [mfumfole]

The only requirement is that no claims were made against the warranty. It is in the 'cancellation' clause on the contract. Contract on my 2005 Highlander also said to return to selling dealer but I called Toyota directly and returned the paperwork; received the check in less than 2 weeks. Used the refund to purchase Toyota warranty on new 2009 Sienna. Not aware ... Read More...

Toyota Sienna Tires/Wheels/Run-flats

Re: Fed up with Toyota [spongecat]

I have a previous posting at this site with the same rim problem. I am in MI and also purchased my 2005 Sienna XLE AWD at Fox Toyota in Rochester Hills. They would do nothing except refer me to the zone rep who wanted to charge me over $900 for two rims and give me two for "free." Suggest anyone with rim corrosion problems go to http://www.nuckleslaw.com/software-negotiations-expert/toyota-alloy-wheels-bubbl- ... Read More...

2005 Sienna NAV system

2005 Sienna NAV system

Hi - My NAV system software is out of date and I need to update. From reading on this forum it seems like to update the software would be over $200 if I get from Toyota Dealer... I would appreciate your thoughts on any alternatives. I would even buy a Garmin NAV system and mount on my dash if it were as good as the 2005 system and updates were cheaper. Re: Fed up with Toyota [spongecat]

Same problem on 2005 Sienna XLE AWD. Started the process with Toyota this past Monday. Toyota said the corrosion should be covered by 5 yr. corrosion warranty. Sent me to my dealer. Dealer said wheels are warranted for 3/36 (I'm beyond this warranty period). Thanks, Toyota, for wasting my time. I've noticed several other Siennas with this same problem. The only ... Read More...

Toyota Sienna Sliding Door Problems

Re: 2005 Sienna rear door latch [fix_it_again]

My 2005 Toyota Sienna driver's side rear latch has had two bottom screws pull though the sheet metal. Leaving only one still attached. Causing my door not to close properly and becoming a clear safety issue for my family and friends. Has anyone gotten any kind of response from Toyota regarding this clearly a defect in the sheet metal and safety issue? Read More...

Re: 2005 Toyota Sienna won't start drained battery--seat sensor? electrical [znet]

We had a similar problem with our 2008 XLE. I suspect the problem is that sometimes the sliding doors don't go all the way back and lock / engage. When I disable the automatic doors and manually slide the doors back, they sometimes "click" into place. Other times they seem to just hit some barrier and stop (and can slide forward without engaging the handle). With ... Read More...

Question on TSB: Toyota Sienna Door Welds Causing Clicking

Re: Question on TSB: Toyota Sienna Door Welds Causing Clicking [zeebo1]

Leave it to "the Forum" to validate my complaints!! I mentioned this to my husband last week- all of a sudden, it sounded like the driver side door was 100 yr old, rusted out old vehicle. It "clicks" and sounds like it is going to break. I'm assuming that the door weld is the issue. Thanks for identifying this. Now, the car is still under 100K, but it's 4 yrs old (2005 ... Honda Odyssey vs. Toyota Sienna

Toyota Sienna XLE- Not Sure It's my favorite anymore

I thought I'd just take a moment this morning to register some dissatisfaction with my 2005 Toyota Sienna. Now- for most of my life, I have been a Toyota loyalist. My first car was a Celica that I adored. I can't even say I ran it into the ground because my sister got it at 120k drove it to 150k and sold it.... HOWEVER- I have not been too pleased with the Sienna. First- ... Read More...

Re: Ah yes, the great RF tires [whitewaternut]

Hi, I am sorry for our dilemma on the RFTs. I caught a post of yours dated a year ago..on the rims bubbling up issue. Are you in Michigan, I am north of Detroit and have the same issue, I got the run around while my car was under warranty they could not fix my rims. I have a 2005 Sienna, XLE AWD.. all four looked damaged with the bubbling up. What dealer did you go to who got ... Read More...

Re: Fed up with Toyota [dkwarren]

Hi This thread is a year later, but I hope you are still on this forum from time to time. I have terrible bubbling up on my rims too, I have a 2005 Sienna XLE AWD too. Was given the run around, while under warranty. I live in MIchigan too, north of Detroit. Where are you? In Warren, MI? What dealer did you go to for help? I went to FOx TOyota, totally worthless. What was your ... Read More...
