2002 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 4A)
Review
Have owned 11 large SUV's over 20 years. Sequoia is good but lacks the capabilities of the competition. Recent Car & Driver test results says Sequoia was only big 'ute to get stuck on their course. Got stuck twice last winter in snow - never been stuck before. All vehicles can have problems but have had to replace AC compressor, brakes, steering parts, fuel system EGR)parts, etc. Frustrated by Toyota's tendency to "wish" problems away, requiring calls to Customer Assurance. Toyota is extremely slow to issue recalls for known problems. You have to research TSB's. I'm considering selling but choices for big 'utes are somewhat limited.
Favorite Features
Good engine, folding mirrors, Good fit and finish
Suggested Improvements
More power, fold flat rear seating, higher console, eliminate auto trac system - it suck's, better aerodynamic design - it handles poorly at higher speeds on windy days, Toyota must stop their "prove it to me" attitude with warranty problems and be more helpful in resolving problems.
