People getting 10,000 off sticker was due to a melt down of the economy, high gas prices, and over production of the Sequoia. Toyota cannot stay in business if it means giving 10,000 off sticker to sell a vehicle. I think you are right this might be the last year they produce the Sequoia. I own a 2001 Sequoia that I bought new and it has been the very best vehicle that I have ever owned. The vehicle has had no problems other than the brake rotors being under sized for the weight of the vehicle. Toyota replaced and upgraded the entire front braking system at no charge to me at 22,000 ... Read More...

I have a 2001 Sequoia 2wd with 39,500 miles of mostly local driving and a couple of trips from Los Angeles to San Francisco and L.A. to Las Vegas. The local mileage is 10 mpg and the best mileage on the highage being 17 mpg. At 209,000 miles I can honestly say I have yet to replce any engine components - either due to wear or failure on my 2001 Sequoia. The vehicle and powertrain continues to amaze me. I have replaced 4WD seals and the Diff once under warranty, and had the intake manifold leak air which necessitated rrplacement at 99,000 just inside warranty $(1300). But other than ... Does any one know if toyota is going to offer some real incentives to sell the 2008 inventories of Sequoias. I could be wrong but I would think this vechicle has not sold as well as more efficent vehicles and the inventory levels would be high. I'd like to know too - the Manual says "See your Toyota Dealer". Never had a vehicle that required me to go to my dealer to adjust the headlights.... then again, never have had a vehicle that didint allow the driver to turn on the inside dome light from the dash board...but thats a Toyota thing, not just a Seq.
