2013 Toyota RAV4 Limited 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl 6A)
I have had my 2013 RAV4 for nearly a month now.
It has several personalities: sporty (sport mode), spot-on (regular mode), and mild-mannered (econ mode).
I have found it really valuable to have all three modes available to me and there are distinct differences between the modes.
The car is quiet, easy to drive and park, and it is rather nimble. I have no problem reaching the advertised mpg if I am light on the pedal, and or use econ mode.
It is a bumpy ride though, and some of the controls are difficult to reach.
Overall, this vehicle is much more fun to drive than the Honda CRX, and has a better transmission.
Three modes of driving; the electronically-controlled tailgate; and the blind-spot monitors!
They really work, as does the rear cross-traffic alert system!
What a fantastic, must-have feature.
The back-up camera is excellent as well. The headlights and fog/driving lights are excellent. The back seats are comfy, with excellent head and leg room.
Reposition many of the dashboard controls so that drivers with average arm-lengths can reach them.
Angle the central display more towards the driver and increase the brightness of the display.
It needs more storage space - a bigger central compartment between the driver and front passenger, and overhead sunglasses storage.
It should also have an available homelink transceiver. The hood needs more bracing against the windshield - at the center of the hood.
It vibrates when driving and produces a minimally annoying distraction.
The infotainment system needs better integration with the Apple iOS platform.
