Have a 2010 Rav4 Limited with an issue with the rear differential. Local dealer claims they've never seen this issue with this model. Vehicle is 7k over power train warranty and Toyota Customer Care won't help with repairs. Their claim is I'm not a good enough customer despite this being my second Rav4. Question: what is my best repair option, A) swap out the entire unit, or B) part is out? ... Read More

Got a quote of $19400( excluding tax/title/tag )for a toyota rav4 base model. Is that a good price ?

I agree, this is very high. Off the charts high. Almost every dealer I've been in contact with is willing to sell a 2010 Rav4 at or close to dealer invoice price. You need to confirm that you are getting a good price. (In leasing terms this is called the cap cost.) You also have to confirm that they are using the best current money factor offered by Toyota which I ... Read More

Edmunds' own site says 2012 Rav4's will be released in summer of 2011. With the lack of info out there about 2011's, that tells me there will be no (or very minor) change from 2010 to 2011 Rav4's...and maybe not even any 2011's. It wouldn't be be the first time a manufacturer skipped a year. For example, here it is 9/10/10 and no 2011's out there that I can see, although ... Read More

pkim5, A NOTE ON ADJUSTED MSRP AND DEALER INSTALLED OPTIONS... Fund providers know that the cost of dealer installed options are grossly inflated. Therefore, in order to minimize their risk, they limit the cost of such options. So, for example, a dealer installed option retailing for $1,000 might be limited to only $700. The $700 is added to the base MSRP (including delivery charge) to produce the adjusted MSRP. And so, ... Read More

That looks like a very good price, less than I recently paid in Colorado for my 2010 Rav4 in fact. My final price including tax was around $26600 but that included $1000 college grad bonus cash. I bought the Base 4x4 V6 also, in Black Forest Pearl with all the options you listed plus the Body Side Molding. I Love my Rav and I'm very happy that I made the purchase. ... Read More
What I see is that there are very few RAV4s in general among the 3 Austin Toyota dealers. I just checked their website and found Champion Toyota has 35 RAV4 but 363 Camry Charles Maund Toyota has 3 RAV4 but more than 100 Camry Round Rock Toyota has 31 RAV4 but 295 Camry I don't know whether it's because the RAV4s just sell very quickly in Austin or the dealers are ... Mdessimus, I bought the car from James Toyota in Flemington NJ. I recalled that I was quoted 27,250 initially. I checked back with the sales person in the following 3 weeks to find the car I want remains in their lot. That helped me to persuade the dealer to sell the car for 26,717. Regards,
I went to TruCar.com and for our 2010 Rav 4 FWD V6....we paid $831 less than the great price, $1265 less than the factory invoice and $2325 off of the sticker price. This was the best deal from 3 different internet sales departments and we are very happy. Other things also come into play too.....they gave us the most money for our trade-in which was also a Toyota but a Corolla. ... Read More
Mine was a 2009 RAV4 Base 4WD +3rdRow purchased on Sept 10th/11th? 2009 -this was during post Cash4Clunkers but BEFORE RAV4 2010 releases so it was extemely difficult to get a good price, 1000$ above dealer price was considered decent at that time, i would expect 2010 Models to be far far cheaper, probably very close to invoice if not better.. might want to chk truecar/edmunds and/or other suggested sources for ... According to Toyota’s site the “Blu Logic” should only cost $300, and if it is your dealership’s own version of a Blu Logic than we really can’t compare it since it would differ from one dealership to the other. Remote Start – According to Toyota’s site it is $529, but if you say it is an aftermarket from your dealership same goes as above. Rearview Parking Display – I believe this ... Read More
I got mine from Stockton Toyota. If just want a base model, try talking to Napa Toyota. He quoted me $400 lower than what I bought mine for but after a month of trying to trade me one, he gave up (since the 3rd row option is rare.) Either case, ask for Internet Sales if you call. Good luck

Hi buckeye20. I can help you out. I believe that Pennsylvania resides in Toyota's Central Atlantic region. According to the latest information that I have seen, Toyota Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of a 2010 RAV4 in that area is .00065 for consumers who qualify for its top aka Tier 1+ credit tier. This is the lowest possible money factor that dealers in ... Read More
I've been negotiating with several dealers in the Northern Viriginia area and this is the best quote I've received so far. Should I take it? By the way, I'm getting what Volkswagen calls a "Sign and Drive" deal--no money down--everything (taxes, tags, fees) all rolled into the monthly payment. Toyota is running the $199 a month lease on the RAV4 right now but that is with $1999 down. Here's the deal: ... Read More
Hi, I am also interested in leasing the 2010 Rav4 Sports Edition with the QX package. Would you happen to have a copy of the quote that Hudson Toyota sent you so hopefully I can cut to the chase and get the same deal? Thanks a lot and greatly appreciate it.

Im jealous i had a tough time with dealers over 3 wks and best i managed in Sept '09 was 26.6k OTD after NYTax for 2009 base 4x4 +ThirdRow. Since you have already got the car, the fairness of the price is a moot issue unless you can renegotiate the price. OTD price is meaningless to others unless you detail the other costs, like tax, title, dealer charged fees, etc. Since I have bought cars (last one, a 07' Lexus) in NJ before, I can make a rough estimate on the deal you got. After 7% tax and options, the ... Read More
