Re: 2008 Rav4 Ltd Pricing Confusion [markbres]

Have you considered aftermarket reupholstering? Very popular in this area. Good quality leatherwork without all the leather options package cost. Much, much cheaper than buying leather. Had my Toyota reupholstered in leather two years ago and it still looks great. Ask your dealer about it. Most have this option but you have to ask. Read More...

Re: Current Money Factor [daddyjakes]

Hi daddyjakes. Toyota Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of a 2008 RAV4 in its New York region is .00133 for consumers who qualify for its Tier 1+ credit tier. It is difficult to say what this truck's lease program will look like in August, but if I had to guess I would say that it will be pretty close to what it's like right now. ... Read More...

Toyota RAV4 Prices Paid and Buying Experience

fuzzy invoice numbers

This is the first time I've bought a car from a dealer so I could use some advice. I want to buy a RAV4 base model (4cyl, 2WD) with just the standard options. 1. Tried two dealers in NJ and the lowest I think I can get is $21,200. One invoice number was $21,639, which is much higher than the one listed on Consumer Reports. Any idea why? There is a CARMAX in Maryland selling ... Read More...

After some super helpful outside assistance, I managed to get the overpriced warranty knocked down to $805 for the exact same coverage, ... Read More...

2008 RAV4 Brake Pedal Vibration

2008 RAV4 Brake Pedal Vibration

I have a '08 V6 4WD with 2200 miles. At around 1400 I notice a slight vibration in the brake pedal when pressure is first applied. This happens in park as well as in drive. It feels like rubbing of metal on metal in the pedal mechanism. You can hear it and really feel it if you get down and press it with your hand. You can also feel it vibrate up the steering wheel if the car ... Read More...

Re: MF residual for GA and TN [thezedd]

Hi Zed. Georgia is in Toyota's Southeast region. I have not seen Toyota's current lease program for that part of the country. However, I believe that Tennessee is in Toyota's Cincinnati region. If so, I can give you an idea of what the current lease program for the RAV4 is like there. Toyota Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value ... Read More...

Upholstery problem

RAV 4 Upholstery problem

I have a 2008 base RAV4 I purchased in October 2007. This past January, I noticed the front door panels and portions of the seats were starting to pill and fuzz. The car had 5500 miles on it at the time. We had purchased it as our fun travel buggy, so it really doesn't get everyday use. It now has about 10,000 miles on it and more portions of the seats are pilling and fuzzing. ... Read More...
