Excellent in all aspects particularly the spunky v6 engine which has more spunk than our '06 330 BMW! Leg room for everyone in the car is very spacious except for the driver! I am 5'11" and my knees have little room. If the seat would just move back another 1-2 inches it would be much more comfortable.
I bought this car a few months back, and have been very pleased with the purchase. The fuel economy has been good, ride is comfortable, and interior is fantastic. The V6 has amazing power that will blow you away. You really have to watch yourself when you start off. There is plenty of room in the backseat for guest, and lots of cargo area for your gear. I have a small trailer I pull from time to time, and the Rav does a fine job with that too.
I really like the MP3 input in the armrest area. There is a cigarette lighter inside there as well to power it. Great job Toyota.
Please get rid of the rear swing out door. Just a nice overhead door with a glass window that opens seperately. More lighting in the cargo area and a digital compass as a standard feature would be nice too.
I needed a four-wheel drive vehicle for the mountains. I've had not a single problem with this Rav4 2007 Basic. Seats fold in 60 sec to load it with firewood. It handles well on mountain snow. It does not die, or gear struggle, on steep roads, loaded with equipment and four passengers. Downhill, the steep-grade feature nicely paces the vehicle without your active acceleration. The Basic has standard features such as cruise control, vehicle stability control, traction control, 4WD on demand - superior features for the Catskill Mountains. It's a quality vehicle.
Acceleration is awesome. Folding the rear seats is simple, for a flat surface. Handling is confident. Rear seat room, especially, is great. Good mileage for a crossover SUV: 29 on hwy, but I generally drive solo with little cargo. Paint and finish are great. You don't need a step ladder to enter.
The rear door exterior spare tire has issues. It collects grit from dirt road travel and deposits same on rear window. If the vehicle is parked uphill on a steep incline, it is hard to shut that door because of its added spare tire weight. Downhill it slams hard because of that spare tire and cover.
We bought a Limited v6, 2WD with third row seat. Now that we have been driving it for a week, we love it. It's really zippy, drives and maneuvers like our sedan. The v6 option is really great. The interior is comfortable, the dash design could have been better. Overall a great buy. The negative, we had a very tough time finding one with third row seat. Very few in the market, we had to pick our third choice of color. The options were pathetic. If you pick third row seat you get nothing else. Overall this was a major disappointment.
Smooth driving, fast response, stable and good control. Excellent driving experience.
Provide better options. Toyota makes it very difficult to find a vehicle we want.
