Unreliable for the long run. Had several warranty repairs, rear shock absorbers, water pump, steering shaft. Then after 60000 kms no support from Toyota Canada. Try and do repairs through the dealers and end up paying 2 times the price on parts alone.
Tell me about it.
This vehicle sucks.
Our stainless steel muffler rusted through and Toyota said it's normal and buy another one for $1600.
Our water pump broke right after warranty.
Toyota wants to do it but it'll take 10 hours to do it because the engine has to be dropped on our V6.
Once you tell them how it could be done without dropping the engine, labor estimate comes down to 2 hours.
Ignition coils are failing left and right.
Steering shaft knocks even after fixing it.
Maintenance of this vehicle outside of warranty costs more than my BMW M3's maintenance.
And this RAV4 has been in and out of the shop for warranty work.
Don't get me started on the recalls.
