Acceleration commentsI liked the white instrumentation. The engine makes nice linear power that belies the small displacement and weight of the vehicle. Even though the vehicle is lightweight, you are transferring that power through only 2.0 liters of engine.
Braking commentsBraking performance was straight and solid. These would be excellent performance numbers for a passenger car and are outstanding for an SUV. The third run was better than the first run, although they were within a foot of each other.
Handling commentsNice handling, especially for a top heavy mini-SUV. It handles more like a Celica than a sport-utility vehicle. Quick steering and turn-in, with handling that feels decidedly sporty. It should give the new Mazda Tribute some competition in the handling department.
