2012 Prius Five

Hey Guys! First post on edmunds! I've found a couple of 2012 Toyota Prius Five with the Advanced Technology Package and was wondering what would be a fair and logical price to offer right now. I live in Southern California and was thinking of offering $29,500 OTD with taxes, title, and fees. :)

I financed it at 1.65 for 60 mo term, put down the 1K cash back and 3K on a credit card (the max they would put on a credit card). Here's the web site: koonstoyotaannapolis.com. Check out the WOW prices. I don't know if transportation and/or dealer prep will be added on the WOW price. Re: prius II 2012 still out there?
Written by: crazedcommuter on Jan 9, 2013 5:37:32 PM
I was in central NJ last weekend and 2 dealers had more 12's on the lot than 13's. Prices are not yet at "sale" level to bite yet on those prices unless you urgently need the car. I'm thinking that Toyota will tell the dealers to start dropping prices $2000 to $2500 on leftover 12's during Jan and Feb. Check Fitzmall's prices in Maryland to compare against your dealers.

I would bet there are new '12s around, best thing to do is just google "your city" and "toyota" and start emailing dealers, asking for their best price on what you want. Why not ask for pricing on '12 and '13 both?

Re: 2012 Prius III in Blizzard Pearl w/options [slsu]
Written by: ewrhkg on Dec 17, 2012 7:28:10 PM
Hi Slsu, You might want to look for a prius w/o the clear paint protection as it's almost pure 100% dealer markup. The docs fee sounded high as well. I see most dealers charge $299 (DCH Toyota for example) for their docs fees or computer fees. That you can probably negotiate. Remember you have the upper hand and the dealer is looking to offload the vehicle.

You're right about the inventory. The dealer we went with had only 5 Prii on the lot whereas they had over 30+ Camrys.
