2010 Toyota Prius Hatchback IV 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

One of the first production models, fit and finish is excellent, mileage is better than EPA (54 mpg so far in 3000 miles mostly town), no service issues, nothing to fix or have fixed, dealer delivery process and sales were excellent, car is meeting or exceeding all expectations.

Favorite Features

Mileage, roominess for size, selectable performance modes

Suggested Improvements

Move the seat heater switches so the passenger can see theirs

2010 Toyota Prius Hatchback IV 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

We have only driven 800 miles so it is very early to write a report. We are enjoying the adventure of driving a car that gets 50mpg, every trip we have enjoyed the car more. The sound system with JPL speakers is excellent the storage with Hatchback is good but backing up there are blindspots. Overall we are very happy

Favorite Features

great mileage JPL sound system engine brake so you don't brake going down a hill, as the car picks up speed coasting downhill before you know it you are going 70

Suggested Improvements

brakes are hard to get used to

2010 Toyota Prius Hatchback IV 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

We have a new 2010 Prius. We are very happy with the overall performance of the car. We average 47mpg,and are pleased with everything about the car,except.. On Ice,snow or even a smooth surface, it seems to loose all ability to read the tires. Bells and whistles go of and essentially we loose the ability to steer. If I had wanted a summer car I would have bought a sports car. I am very concerned regarding the safety of a car that you can't steer in bad weather.

Favorite Features

Comfort, gas millage, performance.

Suggested Improvements

Get rid of the back up beep, improve rear blind spot, low beam headlights not effective in the mountains.

2010 Toyota Prius Hatchback III 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

Don't be talked into any Series under a IV. You need the back up mirror since it's impossible to see what is behind you especially if it's low. This car has dangerous blind spots in the rear and the front. TEST TEST TEST. Yes, the fuel economy is great, but it's not worth the injuring myself much worse someone else. The seat adjustments are stiff. Impossible to do from the inside. If you are 5'2" or under definitely don't buy this car. You can't see out the front either. The interior design is very confusing. I've yet to find the trip odometer. Maybe it doesn't exist. Many rattles too. I'm trading as soon as I can make time.

Vehicle

2010 Toyota Prius Hatchback II 4dr Hatchback (1.8L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

Got mine 2010 Prius II just before Xmas. Love the redesigned exterior. The interior plastics, not so much. EV/ECO/PWR modes are nice distractions. I now spend half as I used to at the pump.

Favorite Features

Hatchback utility, assisted breaking (?), EV mode.

Suggested Improvements

Higher grade plastics for the interior. Xenon headlights as an option for all trim levels.
