I think you are trying to play verbal games which is fine. But I don't see any data that says Toyota will build anything in their Tupelo plant in 2011. All I see is it is on hold. As for Toyota closing its NUMMI plant after GM pulled out of the partnership... what does that have to do with the Prius vs.Golf? More than once Ahnold begged Toyota to build the Prius in CA the largest buyer of the model in the USA. The new Tupelo plant will not likely see the Prius. If you are as concerned about mileage as you say, you would be a VW fan rather than a Toyota fan. "We are extremely pleased with our August sales results. I have an interesting comparison between the Prius and the Golf TDI. Well, interesting to me, but unlikely to sway anyone in their purchase decision. Well for sure I hope Toyota has switched to a so called "hard" tank. I have read that folks could have really had a hard time figuring out how much real volume that was left in the tank. So if one wanted to do your "Pruis camel gig" say go 700 miles, the theory could be disturbed by say running out of RUG in the.... Mojave Desert, albeit @ GREAT MPG. I have done this any number ... On 8-6-09 i purchased a 09 Toyota Prius track car from Lowe Toyota in Warner Robins, Ga. 31088 . I was not told at the time of sell that this was actually a car from a dealerships rental fleet. I feel i could have purchased a 2010 after the fact for the price i paid for this used vehicle. I paid $23954.14 for this car with only 5,000 miles on it. I did have a couple of options ...
