2003 Toyota Prius Sedan 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

Fun to drive and it is very comfortable
and the gas mileage , you can not beat
it.
I would buy another one for sure.

Best Features

I love where the gauges are up on top, it is so easy to read, instead of having to look down to see how fast that you are going. The seats are so comfortable and I feel very safe in my car.

2003 Toyota Prius Sedan 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

My husband and I bought this car in
Feb. 2003 anticipating gas prices to
increase with the possibility of a war
in Iraq. We drive approx. 2000
miles/month so fuel economy without
sacrificing comfort is important. The
Prius has not let us down.

Best Features

Fuel economy. On an average trip we get approx. 50-55 miles/gallon.

Worst Features

Would like to be able to fold the backseats. A little more leg room for the passenger in the front would be good.

2003 Toyota Prius Sedan 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

Great car but actual MPG is slightly
lower than manufacturers estimates, as
well as lower than car's computer
display (anywhere from 2 - 6 mpg lower).

MPG is lower in the winter as the car
takes longer to warm up.

The ride is incredibly smooth.

Worst Features

Rear windshield wiper and split fold down back seats would be nice.

Review

This is truly a wonderful car. The
savings with gas are great! It has an
LCD touch screen inside the car that is
fun! It isn't superbly useful but it
looks cool! The mileage is great and
the car drives amazing. It has really
sharp turns and can easily handle over
80mph!

Best Features

LCD screen and fuel economy. It is the car for the techie and the environmentalist.

Worst Features

None not already made with the 2004!

2003 Toyota Prius Sedan 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

This is a great car; quiet, comfortable
and efficient. What a difference from
the 14 years I had driving a minivan.
Love to go to the gas station and get
money back!!! I feel I am contributing
to the environment with this
gas/electric vehicle. Thank you to my
ecological daughter for talking me into
viewing (and buying on the spot) this
wonderful car.

Best Features

I average between 42-52 mpg depending on my mode of travel. Love to look at the dashboard indicator and see the mpg!

Worst Features

I miss not having a rear window wiper. I believe the seats could be improved upon, especially for long trips. Glad there are color choices now.
