2002 Toyota Prius 4dr Sedan (1.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)
Very fun to drive, and never fails to
interest passengers. Zero problems
after one year. Handles very well in
snow. Wasn't expecting such a huge
improvement over previous vehicle (1992
Saturn SL1), but got it in all areas.
Feels solid and safe.
Touch screen that shows instanteous & 5-
min. mileage averages is useful for
learning efficient driving techniques.
Energy use display a good teaching tool
for explaining hybrid technology to new
Fold-down rear seats. Heat the trunk
compartment in the winter to improve
battery performance (and therefore
mileage) in very cold weather
(significant mileage decline below 20F.)
