What a Wonderful Car
Vehicle
1991 Toyota Previa 2 Dr LE Passenger Van
Review
My Previa is 15 yrs old this year and it still runs like a dream. This car has not had any major mechanical issues in the entire time I have owned it. The build quality, exterior and interior fit & finish are impressive. Although my vehicle does not have AWD, with a set of Blizzaks it performs just fine.
Favorite Features
The amazing amount of room, the fold- up rear seats

we purchased our EG new in 91,the first yr it came out. We put 285,000 miles on it in 12 yrs. Inly shanged the timing belt. Never changed or added transmission fluid. Ran like a charm until someone rear ended and totalled us. The best vehicle we have owned. Just purchased a 93 Previa (in 2005) with 50k miles on it. Looks and smells brand new. Hope to have it another 12 yrs.

BRING BACK THE PREVIA, PLEASE!!!
Vehicle
1991 Toyota Previa 2 Dr LE Passenger Van
Review
My famiy and I bought this 91 previa at 167,000mi. It is now pushing 250,000, and has had nothing wrong with it, other than the usual wear and tear. I brag to all my SUV owner friends at the great gas mileage I get on long trips. It's great at pulling too!!! The mid-engine design gives it superb balance. We've painted it twice and is now bright orange!! Got a 99 CR-V and went on a 10 hr trip with it, and it had engine trouble, kicked myself for even doubting my van. I would never ever travel with anything else inspite of the high miles. I would trust my family to this vehicle any time!! Have been offered money for it, but I will drive it until I die!
Favorite Features
Quad seating provides super comfort. Easy truck capacity once rear seats are raised. Leg rest room for front passenger side on top of glove compartment. I love everything about this van! Whoever decided to stop making it must reconsider. Will buy newer previa before I buy any other brand new van!
Suggested Improvements
NOTHING!!!! Leave it just like it is, and make more, I love its ageless design! I'd like to see 2005 Toyota Previas out, and that's all I'll ever buy!

Reliability Plus
Vehicle
1991 Toyota Previa 2 Dr LE 4WD Passenger Van
Review
Bought as program van at 29,000 and now has 198,000. Have had no mechanical problems yet. Just brakes, tires, and a master cylinder. Change oil & fluids religiously at proper times and it just keeps going. I am looking for a newer one and am keeping this one. Door hardware and radio are weak spots, and the seats are not what they could be for long trips, but this car outperforms any Bronco or Cherokee I have had in the snow, and it takes a beating and just keeps running. I maintain my cars for major mechanical failure prevention, but I use them HARD, and this one is the best by far!
Favorite Features
Reliability, utility of inside seat arrangements, towing capacity, mileage (20mpg)
Suggested Improvements
Radio, door hardware, seat comfort

Awesome Van
Vehicle
1991 Toyota Previa 2 Dr LE Passenger Van
Review
This van is the best trouble free car I have ever owned. You will not find salvage parts for these cars. The stereo will go out eventually but who wants cassette player anymore. If you find one, buy it, great for large family. I have the 4 captains chairs and prefer that for comfort.
Favorite Features
Comfort, reliability, 25 m.p.g.
Suggested Improvements
better stereo tuner.

What a Van!!!
Vehicle
1991 Toyota Previa 2 Dr Deluxe 4WD Passenger Van
Review
Wow... This van has been nothing but a gem. 252,000 miles and still going strong. We pull a 18ft. boat on our vacations with relative ease. 4 wheel drive gets us up the slickest boat ramp and the most treacherous snow covered roads when hockey season rolls around. The rear AC is fantastic.
Favorite Features
Interior room is wonderful, plenty of space for kids and all there friends and soccer/hockey equipment. Great van to tailgate out of at a game.
Suggested Improvements
We made a nice storage compartment between the front seats. We extended it rearward so that the center seats would have a place to keep their drinks. Interior lighting is a bit lame, but we've learned to do without...

One Great Hauling Machine.
Vehicle
1991 Toyota Previa 2 Dr LE Passenger Van
Review
No major problems, despite many long trips and grocery getting duty for many years, many long trips. Many complain about the lack of power, but hey it is a minivan not a sports car!! When is the last time you had 6 friends in your Toyota Celica, I dont think so. Great for road trips with up to 7 people, able to hang out together. It always comes along on the camping trips, a trusted part of our gear. Have it up to 160,000 miles now, still running great, thought of getting a new vehicle but cannot beat the practicality of it. Interior design has aged well. Start it up and you are gone, you will get there.
Favorite Features
The split rear seats, easy loading in several bikes, or any other pieces of equipment that need to be moved. Rear wheel drive, great for towing. Mid-Engine design, great balanced ride, great conversation starter, no one can believe that the engine is sitting on its side.
Suggested Improvements
Super-charger and Manual transmission as standard. If Ford has several Minivan models why cant Toyota? Sell both the Sienna and the Previa, let the consumer decide. Limited Slip differential, easier on rough roads. Is ok now but it would help.

Bought this van at 90K. BLOWN AWAY by it's reliability and build quality. 135K and no one, but no one, is taking this van from me. Over my dead body.
Favorite Features
Unbelievable Quality. Runs and drives like new at 135K.
Suggested Improvements
MPG is a tad low for today's market (18/23 city/hwy)
