Got it for my wife in 2001 and she
loved it but wanted a new car with NAV
and DVD. Was happy to get her a
new '04 Acura MDX since I took over the
Landcruiser. Great on long trips, in
bad weather and everyday driving.
Steady performer that can be driven all
day comfortably. Only problem in 48K
miles is replacement of rearview

I have had Mercedes, Lexus, Jaguar and
many others, but nothing has been as
good as my Land Cruiser. It is built
well, rides well, holds up well and
performs well. It is the only car I have
ever kept more than three years and why
not? It looks and runs just as it did 4
years ago when new. I will definitely
replace this with another Land Cruiser
or the Lexus of he same type.
Ride, comfort and reliability. I have
not had a trip to the dealer for
anything beyond planned service. I have
54,000 miles and have never even
replaced the brakes.
Aside from the gas mileage, everyone
should have a Land Cruiser.
Though it will never be a sports car,
it handles quit well with the full time

Feels solid and is very quiet doing 80+
mph on the freeway.
Not the best-looking SUV, but it has
Toyota reliability so far.
Many standard ‘extras’ come in handy in
harsh weather (heated outside mirrors,
heated seats, hepa air filters, front
and back climate controls).
What would I change? Side or top
opening tail gate. Better quality
speakers/cavities. Offer larger rim
wheel option. Reduce weight.
