Toyota just released the new V9.1 DVD map disc. I picked up mine for $199! I bought one 2 years ago for $265. I believe the answer is.....220 FT LBS. I found this spec on the ALL DATA website for the 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Apparantly this refers to the 4 (Four) driveshafts that extend from the electric motors to the wheel assemblies. They are attached with a 35MM nut at the axle end and are hammered over to prevent loosening. I posted a note on this subject long ago ... Read More...

I share your pain. I also have a 2007 Highlander Hybrid and it has failed to start three times now in the last 7 months. The dealers keep saying that the battery was a little low. I don't trust this car anymore. I have never had a car this new that just plain will not start and there is nothing you can do except have it towed to the dealer. This is a 2007 model, Limited with all the electronic junk. Car failed to start three time in last 7 months. For some reason, the car does not start. You are stranded with no other recourse but to call a towing service. God forbids that you don't have your whole family in the car in the middle of nowhere. The OE tires (GoodYear Integrity) on my 2007 Toyota Hybrid Highlander needed replacement at 18k. Livid, I went to a GoodYear service station where I first got a lot of doubletalk about OE not covered by warranty, I didn't rotate enough, it was alignment, pot holes blah blah blah. I installed a 1/1/4" CoastalTech hitch on my 2004 Prius myself with no problems whatsoever. I ordered a 1 1/2" receiver hitch for my 2007 Highlander Hybrid (1/ 1/4" is not available) and found it much more difficult to install mainly because it weighs so much more. Something is wrong with your car, take it to another dealer. It sounds like the 4 wheel alignment is wrong on your front tires. Perhaps they are both angling (toe) in and canceling each-other out, which lets you drive straight but wears out the tire. Agree with comments on dead battery and inability to start the Highlander Hybrid after minimal time periods of non-use. I own a 2007 Highlander Hybrid and have now experienced a dead battery and inability to start the car 3 times now.
