Its a 2011, I can only say so much, ask me in 10 years, but in a few thousand miles, it has tackled all sorts of big snow storms, it has pulled out a few larger vehicles, it warms up quick, you just feel like your driving in a very sturdy truck, but much smoother. I keep pressing the issue in how much it can do, and it has not failed yet, done some off roading, I have the 4X4 with the off road pkg, that does make a difference, between work and not owning it for years yet, my off roading has been limited, its quiet on freeway unless your over 75 and sometimes if a strong wind is hitting you from another direction, the radio is good
I read where itís actually made by Hino Trucks, Toyotas commercial truck division, I like that you can switch from 4X2 to 4X4 on the fly, you dont have to stop first, I dont understand some reviewers saying it has no power, it has more power than most, I am not sure if thats because of the newer 4 liter engine they have in 2010 and 2011, but it has plenty of passing power. I would put myself up against any other 4 liter out there and 95% of ALL 4X4s have less. Love the compass and
inclinometer, love the low end 4X4 if needed. love the ATrac and the Electronically controlled locking rear differential, glad the Toyota FJ Cruiser received a 2011 Best Resale Value Award from Kelly Blue Book
rear seats that could be flattened down so rear section could be all the way flat, or better yet, if any maker made a SUV where back seats could fold back into a temporary bed, it would open up so many more uses for the outdoorsman
