2011 Corolla S w/o sunroof
Purchased new: $17,500 exclude TTL. (Sticker: $20,120)
This is a very smooth riding car for this class and seems very solidly built. This car rides like a Camry on smooth roads but the short wheel base gets a bit unsettled over uneven pavement and it crashes over rough patches and potholes somewhat.
The powertrain also runs very smoothly and acceleration is adequate. All in all the best value in the class.
35 MPG with 20% city driving.
Exterior: Alloys look very nice and the S comes with upgraded Bridgestone Turanza tires.
Minor misalignment where hood meets passenger side headlight. Paint and body are otherwise flawless and Toyota’s understated styling is nice and the fascia and headlights look very modern. Fog lights help on rainy nights.
Interior: I am 72” tall and there is 1” of room between the top of my head to the roof. S has upgraded sport fabric that feels very high quality and the seats are relatively comfortable and feel well padded. No seatback pockets even though Toyota sales literature states that these are standard on the S. Defect?
