Of course there has been much said about the new EPS steering on this forum. I do have to agree with what you said about not being an issue with all new Corollas. I have read so much and even defended the new 2009 Corolla EPS as my wife and myself have never experienced a problem what so ever on our new 2009 XLE. I'm having the same problem on the 2009 Corolla with the "wandering" steering. I've taken it back to the dealer 2 times, they agree with the symtoms but don't know what to do. They tried another steering box but that didn't work. They said the solution will have to come from Toyota. I contacted Toyota, filed a complaint, got the call from Toyota telling me they talked ... I highly recommend the new 2009 Toyota Corolla. The quietness is comforting, the ride is smooth, the larger design makes it so close to the all time best seller the Camry. The engine is more than adequate, gas mileage is awesome on the highway(40mpg plus), but less then I expected in the city(25mpg). I am not aware of anyone posting here who works for Toyota, but such a person would certainly be welcome, as is everyone. I'm also not aware that a person working for Toyota posting here would leave him or herself open to lawsuits, nor can I imagine what those lawsuits might charge. How much below invoice did you pay after the $1750 rebate that Toyota has for Corolla S? In WA state, I am shopping for a Corolla XLE which has a $1000 rebate and the best quote I have is $1000 below invoice, which puts my OTD price to nearly $19000. So I think you did fine :) Read More...
