I agree that EPS is a neat feature, one that is found on many cars today. Unfortunately, not all the systems manage to have the natural steering feel afforded by mechanical systems, Ford's Fusion recently came under fire for having numbed-down steering thanks to its new EPS. I like the feel of the steering. But, I like the safety feature the most . With the mech. steering during a accident avoidance where you have to drive sharp to the right and then back to the left. Need new tires after 9100 miles on new car

Leasing 2009 Toyota Corolla and had 2nd oil change and tire rotation yesterday. Mechanic advised all 4 tires showed 4/32 tread remaining and suggested 4 new tires soon. Have driven car about 11 months and we are senior citizens and drive only 55 mph in 65 mph zones for better gas mileage. Also have tire pressure monitor. sorry i forgot to mention i did drive it and the mechanic came with me and it did what i said it did, it idled weird when i would press the brake to come to a stop, the mechanic was like i dont feel anything, im watchin the rpms and they have not gone below 500 so there is no problem. but thats bs because i have never had a car do this. i hate toyota.
