Difference in USA vs Japanese made Toyotas?
Is there a significant difference in quality between a Toyota that was assembled in Japan vs one that is assembled in the USA? I am in the market for a used Toyota and am choosing between two Corollas--a 1994 model made in Japan and the other a 1996 made in the USA. Should this be a factor in my decision in which one to choose? Read More...
2009 Toyota Corolla Problems and Repairs
Re: Won't Start [2009buyer]
I understand that you are very upset about loosing access and having problems with your new car and as you should be, so I will not take issue with any of your invasiveness. I tried to help you by telling you that waiting four days for a Toyota part is very unusual. I would definitly take Pat's advice and take your car to another dealer. You are aware that all Toyota dealers ... Read More...

WAKE UP TOYOTA! Give us better mileage!
My 94 Corolla, with 147,500 miles, runs almost like new, and gets 35.4 mpg, combined real world mileage! What the hell is wrong with Toyota and Honda as well? Consumer reports claims the 2006 Corolla gets 29 mpg combined, and the Yaris gets 36 according to CD! How can it be that 12 years of car tech advancement has yielded absolutley no increase in mileage? With gas ... Read More...
Toyota Corolla Owners: Meet the Members
Re: Hello & welcome! [KarenS]
Hi Everyone, My name is Nancy and I am a new member of the Toyota family. Bought my first Toyota (2006 Corolla) 5 days ago and I love, love, love, it! I haven't even put the first tank of gas in it yet as the dealer did that for me. My Corolla is a CE with auto transmission and what a joy it is to drive. I had been driving a 1994 Nissan Sentra with stick shift for the last 12 years ... Read More...

How do I remove the dashboard from a 94 Corolla to replace a light bulb?
I want to change a light bulb in a 1994 Toyota Corolla DX. The bulb is behind the radio, heater and A/C cover panel. I don't know how to get that panel off. There are two screws on the underside but those seem to hold something below the panel for the controls. I went to the library and pulled a Chilton's book but that book covers a lot of model years and there really is no ... Read More...
Honda Civic vs. Toyota Corolla
nyca
Not to be rude (and Im actually pro-Toyota on this one), but your experience is just that- one experience. Recommending the Corolla over the Civic based on your experience with only one of the two, and one that is 10 years old at that, seems hardly fair. The Civic engine now is quite different than the 1.5L (DX, LX) that powered the 1994. That said, I think the head ... Read More...
BUYING USED COROLLA - ADVICE
I am looking at buying a 1993-1996 Toyota Corolla. I have only owned one Toyota (1994 Toyota 4wd p-up) which I sold today. I am looking for something very reliable and gets good gas mileage. Are there any things I should look for or stay away from? Are the automatics stout and reliable? I appreciate ANY information. I got an unlimited account with carfax and I am checking ... I love my Toyota Corolla!!!
Ok, so the first Toyota I owned was a preowned 1994 Corolla Wagon DX - poor thing started having computer problems just past the 100,000 mile mark, so we decided to trade it in (it was going to cost $1900 to replace the computer, and that was on top of all the other problems we "fixed" - stuff the computer was saying was wrong when it wasn't) - We gave up on our little "Tigger", ...
