2004 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 2dr Coupe (3.3L 6cyl 5A)
Review
This is my 6th Toyota. I love the comfort and handling, plus good gas mileage I get with my Solara. I have had nothing but positive experiences with it. I have 50k miles now and have replaced the tires. I have had no problems at all.
Favorite Features
So many to list...the 5-speed sequential shifter, DVD/NAV and the heated leather seats
Suggested Improvements
I wish this car had a manual transmission. It would be even more fun to drive.

Wonderful Car!

2004 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 2dr Convertible (3.3L 6cyl 5A)
Review
This is my second Solara Convertible. First was a 2001. The car is beautiful, dependable, and always attracts attention. Only real downside is the rearview visibility. Rear window is too small and the rear seat headrests are too big.
Favorite Features
Most of the features are "favorites." The looks, ergonomics, reliability, and service. I also like the fact that you don't see a glut of them on the road. It is a great car at a reasonable price.
Suggested Improvements
Improve the rear visibility by restyling the convertible top with a larger window, and smaller rear pillar. The best improvement would be a retractable hardtop for the convertible. Also acceleration (torque) can be improved.
Nice, competent and stylish convertible

Bought previously owned (certified). Car drives/looks like the Lexus. I get lots comments from people mistaking it for the Lexus. I have noticed body shake/roll over rough roads but it is not uncontrolable. Better tires (V or Z- rated) make it more manageable. It's fun to drive, has lots of zip and still delivers around 25.5 mpg using regular/87 octane fuel (though the owners manual "recommends" 89 octane or higher). I usually put a tankfull of premium fuel once or twice a month. I only notice a slight difference in total performance (power & mileage). Overall, a very nice combination of great looks, excellent performance/handling and super reliability. Definitely would purchase again.
Favorite Features
The 3.3L engine is nice (especially w/a K&N air filter). The JBL stereo sounds great and does every music justice. The auto-shift really works well. The leather seating keeps you in the seat and comfy. The back seat can fit 2- adults comfortably and the trunk is full-sized (unlike most ragtops).
Suggested Improvements
Little bit stiffer shocks/struts (help offset the body roll/shake). Better cup holders. Make rear-seat headrests more contoured to give better sight-lines out the back of the ragtop (with the top up).

I love the car.

2004 Toyota Camry Solara SE 2dr Coupe (2.4L 4cyl 5M)
Review
This is the best car in this class. I test drove a BMW-3. Even ignoring the price difference and the fact it's in a different class I liked the Solara better.
Favorite Features
Great passenger leg room. I am 6 feet/5 inches tall. Easy handling. Good power for a 4 cylinder. Impeccable interior styling. More trunk room than expected. Flat-out fun to drive.
Suggested Improvements
It would be nice if the passenger seat returned to the original position after letting someone in the back seat.
I recomend this car to any single person

Ilove the performance of my car. I bought it almost 3 years ago, an no problem at all. One of my nephews bought a convertible SOLARA VLE V6 and he is enjoying his car. He drove it once to Florida with no problem. We both enjoy the ride and looks of our cars. Thanks for asking. G. Malan

The inside and outside looks. Good performance, since I owned it.

2004 Toyota Camry Solara SE Sport V6 2dr Coupe (3.3L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Over all I would give my Solara SE V6 a low grade because of it's very much like a turbo engine. A friend of mine is a Toyota mechanic and he explained why there is so much excelleration delay similiar to a turbo lag engine. For this review, I'm only referring to low speed performance. At highway speeds it is more than adequate. I think it is unsafe, because when you need instant excelleration, it's just not there. I have owned a manual turbo engine car before and it was very responsive from low end to high end speeds. Would I buy another Solara? NO! Another problem I found is that the brakes are to spungy. I don't get that positive feedback from the brake pedal.
Favorite Features
Design, reliability and red color.
Suggested Improvements
Get rid of the excelleration problem and fix the brakes.

I wouldn't be selling it, if I didn't receive a free vehicle from my company. This car is so fun to drive, I just love it. And, you wouldn't believe the looks I get in it! I feel very safe in this car and it handles very well.
Favorite Features
My favorite feature is the styling of this vehicle. It is gorgeous and well- built. I have not had a problem with this vehicle since I purchased it in 2003. I change the oil, and rotate the tires and that's all I have to worry about!
Suggested Improvements
Hmm... good question.
