I ended up checking on Consumer Reports on reliability, and Consumer Reports 2006 Toyota Camry was the best reliability overall, and the 2007 is downgraded to a "better than average" rating. The brakes, rattle, and minor transmission issues for the 4 cylinder are "average" I didn't even bother looking at the V6 engine as it was listed as only "average" overall. ... Read More...

You are not alone. I had this problem today with my 2009 Toyota Camry. The belt is locked in the retractor. The dealership told me it was 300 dollars to replace it. I told them to just "fix it" not replace it. They told me there was no fixing it, it has to be removed and replaced with a brand new one. They told me it was not a defect, and that the seatbelt spool had been designed ... Read More...

The display does not, and has never, bothered me at night, fog, rain, sleet, snow, etc. over the past 3 years. You can only judge this for yourself, but consider this: if it was a big problem for most people, Toyota would have changed it by now (over 3 years since this generation has been out). I'm still looking for people who have experienced wind turbulence on their 2006 -2010 Camry's. My encouragement is to write letters and send emails to Toyota Corp. urging them to look harder at the problem and hopefully create a retrofit to reduce or fix the turbulence issue. I own a Camry Hybrid, and here's a derision, its ugly. The front end is ugly, the ride is soft, and it handles like a rowboat. Quality in materials is far less than I would have expected from a Toyota, especially the upper end of the line car. I guess we're just polar opposites! I recommend (and practice) avoiding the dealer entirely except for warranty work. I do all the routine maintenance myself except for jobs above my skill level, patience, or lack of suitable tools or equipment, in which case I pay a reputable independent shop to do it (not the Quickie Lubes or tire or department store chains). ...
