Toyota Camry Windshield Defect?
Re: Camry LE 2005: back windshiled broken to piece because of the winter storm [zuojli]
I got some new information regarding broken of the back glass of my 2006 Toyota Camry. After long talk with my son, he finally admitted that he was responsible for that. He was playing near the car at that time. He dared not to admit it in the begining because he know it is a big trouble. I'm Very Sorry for the inaccurate message above. Read More...

Re: Toyota - FACE the MUSIC...NOT! [nmt001]
Seems to be a pretty low number in light of all the complaints on this board. I know my 2 Camrys ('04 and '05 4-cylinders) are fine. There weren't that many 2006 Camrys produced -- it was a shortened model year, because the '07 came out in early March 2006. (I believe 2006 model year production ran from only July-December 2005.) The DBW started with the '02 redesign. ... Read More...
Re: Toyota - FACE the MUSIC...NOT! [wwest]
These are the figures of complaint from the NHTSA relating to POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION defects in the Camry from the year 2002 to 2007. 2002---29 2003---14 2004---22 2005---30 2006---2 2007---74 We can see from the figures that apparently Toyota has solved the automatic transmission problem in 2006 but only to screwed it up in 2007 with the introduction ... toyota's anti-freeze and other brands
I have 2005 Camry which is in need of anti-freeze. I checked manual and it states that only use Toyota's Red color anti freeze or use only Ethylene glycol based antifreeze and it should be non silicate non amine non nitrate non borate and has low phosphates and organic acid. Toyota is selling their red color 1 gallon anti-freeze for $20 and in most auto markets have ... Read More...

Re: Update on Camry hesitation [bborchert]
I don't normally comment on this hesitation issue, because I have older Camrys that don't have the problem, even though they have the same basic 4-cylinder engine and the newer one (a 2005) has the same 5-speed automatic. This means I'm not really going to be of much help not having experienced the problem myself. But I'm glad your problem was largely resolved, ... Read More...

Re: 2003 Camry timing belt [stlpike07]
This is getting silly. I have both a 2004 and a 2005 Camry, with 4-cylinder engines. Both have timing chains. This 2.4-liter 4-cylinder was introduced with the 2002 models, replacing the former 2.2-liter 4 with the timing belt (I had one of those too). The Toyota maintenance website makes no distinction between the 4-cyl. and the V6? Dealers? Well, the salesmen ... Read More...
Camry Brake Calipers
I have a 1993 Toyota Camry. This is an old clunker handed down to me from someone. So far I have ended up spending about 6000 dollars on the car since I purchased it in Dec 2005. I have replaced the transmission and the timing belt. The tires, the wiper blades and finally the engine. The car has failed inspection this year. The mechanic has suggested me to replace all ... Re: 2007 Camry XLE V6 Up - Date [user777]
Good Morning To All: I decided to look at the "Edmunds Postings on the Avalon Boards" I came across a posting on the "Toyota / Avalon 2005+ board site" that was VERY INTERESTING! It talks about the driver's position of their "foot" on the accelerator pedal! The author of the posting stated that the transmission reacted differently if the driver changed positions ... Built in Australia Camry 2007
I have read this entire thread from beginning end. It is fascinating, and very informative. I own a 4cyl auto 2007, GLX here in the UAE 2 weeks ago, and I must say I have serious concerns too. I purchased this car based solely on my positive experience with previous Camry's, a 2005 and 2006. Both were flawless remarkable cars that I clocked many miles on. Gas and go ... Read More...
