05 camry, maintainence question

I have 2005, I4 camry. I drive like 5000 miles per year. I have this car for about 3 years and it has now 15000 miles on it. How often should I replace cabin air filter and air filter and which brand Toyota or K&N? Any suggestions about time intervals for changing coolant and transmission fluids? Read More...

Re: 2006 Hyundai Sonata [aviboy97]

Honda and Toyota are two of the best proven vehicles on the road, no question. Having owned both Honda and Toyota that have had numerous repairs, my 91 Honda Accord 2 starter coils fail and a part in the auto tranny that makes the tranny shift, I forgot what it was called, failed all before 100K. MY 1991 Toyota Celica started blowing blue smoke at 120K, and I replaced ... Read More...

Toyota recalled 2.1 million vehicles in 2005. a series of recalls in the United States and Japan over the last two years have tarnished the automaker’s reputation for quality, and distressed Mr. Watanabe How solid is the Tundra? Camshaft anyone? How about an oil sludged Camry engine? Read More...

Re: Toyota in tight race for No. 1 with GM [elroy5]

Actually, the headliner design, IIRC, is actually different. The stereo issue is unique to 03-04s. I'm not really arguing the fact that you can get relatively perfect 1st year runs and problematic 4th year runs, but statistically, it works the other way around. Your car having a stereo failure just helps prove my point. Toyota's V6 Camry and 5.7L Tundra are other ... Read More...

odometer fraud

I checked out a 2005 Toyota Camry with 10,000 miles, called dealerships untill I found out where it was serviced. It had 72,000 miles in september. It is listed on Edmunds.com. The guy says it was his grandmothers car. Car fax reports 53,000 miles. Glad I paid the money for unlimited carfax reports. vin # 4T1BF32K55U605280 . I was told the car was in Savannah, Ga. ... Reuse of Toyota Nav CDs

I have a navigation CD from my 2006 Camry. The Camry was totaled, so I thought I'd let my spouse have the CD since his is from a 2005 Avalon. Since the CDs are made for Toyota cars I don't think that he should have a problem using it. Any thoughts. Read More...

Article Comments - 2007-2008 V6 Family Sedans Comparison

Pretty disapointed with comparison...

Although, I cannot say I am not surprised by the result, the Honda seems to be a terrific vehicle, although I have never test drove one, but I've seen one in person. Things that really don't make sense about this article, and it strictly deals with the Camry. As others have mentioned, why didn't you use the SE trim? Edmunds complains about "too-soft" of a ride, yet ... Read More...

Vibration with 2005 V6 XLE Camry

Just got a Toyota Certified 2005 V6 XLE and noticed two annoying things. First during acceleration I feel a noticable vibration coming thru the gas petal, often around 15-20, 25-30, 35-40 miles per hour. If I park the car and rev the engine I barely feel it if at all. Are these speeds when the car is shifting? Also I noticed that if I take my foot of the brake pedal quickly ... Read More...

Toyota Camry Real World MPG

2007 camry

I get 26-28 mpg pure freeway on my 2004 AT, and tested each subsequent year since for mpg. The 2005-2007 AT did get a little lower mpg on pure freeway, despite their 5 speed transmission. The 2007 got the worst mpg (under 25 mpg)for pure freeway, and that was a case in which I made consecutive long road trips with my 2004 on the same route (which got within the 26-28 mpg ...
