Toyota Camry Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Great experience with Fitzmall.com!

Just want to second kiawah's suggestion. Just got back to New Orleans with my new 2007 Camry XLE V6 yesterday. I wanted Vehicle Stability Control and emailed dealers in Houston and New Orleans who had them in stock offering them $600 OTD excluding taxes over the invoice price of just under $27k shown by Edmunds and Consumer Reports. With holdback, this was offering ... Read More...

2007 Toyota Camry Transmission Questions

2007 Camry LE 4 cyl: What should I buy to replace this piece of junk?

Hello Everyone, I am one of many regretful owners of a 2007 Toyota Camry LE 4 Cyl. I based my purchase solely on having owned a 2004 Camry LE 4 Cyl., which is a great car. The 2007, on the other hand is the worst piece of junk I've ever owned and I've been sorry I purchased it from the first day. I'll certainly never buy Toyota again and will gladly spread the reasons why ... Read More...

2007 Toyota Camry Problems and Repairs

Re: Toyota - FACE the MUSIC...NOT! [wwest]

These are the figures of complaint from the NHTSA relating to POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION defects in the Camry from the year 2002 to 2007. 2002---29 2003---14 2004---22 2005---30 2006---2 2007---74 We can see from the figures that apparently Toyota has solved the automatic transmission problem in 2006 but only to screwed it up in 2007 with the introduction ... Toyota Camry Basic Maintenance Questions

Toyota Coolant

The coolant the dealer sold me for both my 2002 Sienna and 2004 Camry says "Toyota Long Life Coolant". It is red. Is this the stuff that is supposed to work for 10 years or 100,000 miles in my Camry before replacing? It also appears to not be pre-mixed, becuase it talks about mixing on the bottle, but I guess that's not a given. Read More...

Re: 2003 Camry timing belt [stlpike07]

This is getting silly. I have both a 2004 and a 2005 Camry, with 4-cylinder engines. Both have timing chains. This 2.4-liter 4-cylinder was introduced with the 2002 models, replacing the former 2.2-liter 4 with the timing belt (I had one of those too). The Toyota maintenance website makes no distinction between the 4-cyl. and the V6? Dealers? Well, the salesmen ... Read More...

Toyota Camry Brakes

Re: 2004 Camry Brakes don't squeal but car dosent stop well either [210delr [jk2005]

I tend not to trust the chains like Pep Boys, Sears, Midas, and the tire stores. I think I'd take it to a dealer in your case then. Maybe you could find out which Toyota dealer has the best reputation, especially for service? You can always get a second opinion if the price seems exorbitant. Read More...

Toyota Camry Starting / Stalling Questions

Re: 2004 Camry Starting Problems [frankrom22]

My 1999 Sienna had a similar issue. Would not start sometimes. Turned the key a few times and it would start. The problem would go away for weeks. Spoke to my Toyota Service advisor. They could not duplicate the problem. He thought it could be the starter but said it was not cheap to replace and was my call. I decided to have the starter replaced as my wife and kids usually ... Honda Accord vs Toyota Camry

Re: Camry or Accord? [sudheer]

My wife had a 2004 Accord EX 40cyl. I bought a 07 Camry LE 4cyl (sunroof, alloys, spoiler). I like both cars but they both have distinct personalities. Overall I feel the Accord is the best value for a 4-cyl. The Accord is more peppy and was built better (headliner, gaps, carpet, etc). The Camry feels bigger and drives smoother. Quality control is slipping for Toyota. ... Read More...

2007 Toyota Camry Problems and Repairs

Re: V4 Transmission Updates? [camryse3]

I have a Camry LE (built May/2007) that I purchased in June. No issues other than regretting not buying the 6cyl. More power and little compromise in gas mileage. I had a 2004 Honda Accord 4cyl. that was more "peppy" than the Toyota. IMO Honda makes the best 4cyl. and Toyota makes a economical 6cyl. Love the Camry - a comfortable ride for a good price. Mercury Milan vs Toyota Camry

Re: If the Camry is so [akirby]

On my prior post, I was not referring to that "Fusion Test" marketing campaign. I was referring to a conventional, full-scale comparison test done by a major car mag. I only draw conclusions from instrumented testing procedures. That "Fusion Test" has some minor merit, but it's merely a marketing ploy. GM did a similar "test" for the Achieva in the 1990s--those ... Read More...
