GOOD & BAD OF TOYOTA SE SPORT

2005 Toyota Camry Solara SE Sport V6 2dr Coupe (3.3L 6cyl 5A)

Review

The styling of my Solara is very sleek and has been compared to the Lexus. The interior is beautifully trimmed with everything in its place. gas mileage on the open road is great. The only problem I have is the SE Sport is too stiff. I should have gotten the SE.

Love my 2005 Black Convertible with Nav!

This is ONE fun car to drive, this is my 2nd convertible (had 99 Mustgang GT) and excluding the engine and performance I LOVE this car! I looked for a car and for the money and features no one touches the stlying and quality of this Solara SLE! It is comfortable, quiet and when you drive by people turn and look when the top is DOWN! They need to just change the logo to Lexus and sell it as a lexus and can add $10k to the price and it would sell!

Bought when we went into showroom and saw on floor. Took on test drive and fell in love with it. Have had no reason to return to dealer other than service. (oil change, etc). This is a well built car, and if you want a very comfortable highway driver and a convertible to boot, I would recommend this one.

Just bought it, love it love it. Drove 300 miles on the first day, 200 the second. Comfortable & stylish lines. This is a plush ride. If you are wanting a hot rod, go to the strip. If you want comfort style and class this be da ride.

Better than my Corvette and turns heads

This vehicle is beautiful, quiet, smart looking, very enjoyable to ride... and a sound system that is 2nd to none. While I could use another 50 horse power, the vehicle is very responsive, and fuel effecient... compared to my big Block 8 cyclinder chevy. I would put door guards on to prevent door dents... but the color is bright RED, and the interior is quality. I love to drive it... and so does my wife.

I love the styling, the ride is smooth, plenty of back seat space for guests -- BUT -- the blind spots are horrible and there is a slight hesitation on acceleration on the highway.

Great styling, comfortable but stable ride, excellent engine response, radio controls on steering wheel handy and easy to use, many features found on cars costing much more.

Solara Convertible

A very solid feeling car to drive and appears to be very sure footed on the road. Probably due to the 15 inch tires. V6 has good power but starting is not consistent. The car will start and then stop if you do not keep turning the key until the car starts. We are very unhappy about this and especially since the dealership has said that this is because of fuel injection. We have had many cars with fuel injection and not had this problem. Also disappointed in the shifting of the transmission. When turning corners you have what the dealership calls wire lag because the transmission is controlled by a computer. This causes the car to surge. Again no current fix according to the dealer.
