2003 Toyota Camry Solara Coupe SE V6 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Actually I own a 2000 SE V6 Manual and
I am very disappointed to see that
Toyota has dropped that transmission
from the V6 lineup. The manual is the
reason I went with the Solara versus
the Accord. Now for 2003, the Accord
comes with a 240 hp V6 AND a manual for
about the same price as a now
underpowered and not so fun to drive
Solara (in comparison to the
competition). I very much enjoy the
Solara but in a year or so when ready
to buy a new car, I wonÂ’t consider the
Solara without the manual transmission.

Best Features

Great ride, roomy trunk, reliable.

Worst Features

Reintroduce the manual transmission as an option with the V6. Get up to speed with the competition - 240 HP Altima and now Accord.

2003 Toyota Camry Solara Coupe SE V6 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

This is a quiet and comfortable auto;
no complaint there. But it's turning
radius needs to be shortened
considerably. Also, I would like to
see tighter steering; the Solara
doesn't do well in highway turns.
Otherwise, a fine car.

Best Features

Quietness. Not much road noise and a silent engine. Overall quality.

Worst Features

Turning radius! Worse than an 18- wheeler. More responsive steering.
