Never liked to deal with the Toyota
Dealers. But for the sake of getting
this car, I still needed to go there.
The interior room, quietness, and
comfort make it a great family car, as
long my three teenage children remain
peaceful in the backseat.

The car is super, feels great on the interstate and around the city. The car
has many confort features that come in handy on a long trip. It handles far
better then any other car I have ever had, which includes a 2000 Camry with
all the options you can get. It's fun to drive. I love it.

The Avalon XLS is very good in a lot of ways, but some of the options are so
poorly designed that they are junk. The "trip computer" has a feature that
calculates average gas mileage - a must-have on my shopping list - but it
resets every time the ignition is turned off! It's worthless! It also calculates
trip time (up to 99 hours!) but that also resets when the engine is turned off.
The cruise control looses its memory and has to be reset if you slow to
under 40. I'm disappointed. My 1990 Taurus did better on these and other
features.

I love this car. It is very roomy on
the inside. Smooth ride on the
highway. Great JBL Stero system. I
got the sport luxary package and am
glad I did.

As a two time Camry owner and lover, I
was ready to move to a larger, more
luxurious car. The Avalon stole my
heart immediately and still has it.
It's larger and so comfortable, pretty
and classy. You hardly even know
you're driving, it's more like sitting
at home in a comfortable chair. It
handles better than any car I've ever
driven. Great visability. The XLS has
plenty of bells and whistles, plenty of
pampering. Top it all off with Toyota
dependability. The only flaw is that I
know of Toyota's buckeling under to
Jesse Jackson's extortion tactics.

Our Avalon has 27000 miles. It's a
great car. Plenty of room, great back
seat, and a huge trunk. Plenty of
power, and good on gas. Rides very
smooth. Only had 2 problems. Breaks
pulsating. Which is common for Avalons.
And wood grain lifting from summer heat.
Wish the outside looked as good as the
inside. You get a lot of car for the
money. But dont be fooled. It is not a
Lexus. It doesn't ride like one or
handle like one. Test drive the Volvo's
and Audi's then compare the Avalon.
You'll see the Avalon is a much better.
