Toyota=Reliability in my experience and that is why I bought this truck.
Now after 16 months and 45k here is the verdict....
Reliable..so far no major issues
Comfort - little
Performance - well underpowered but gets from point A to B
Styling - beautiy is in the eye of the beholder..its ok for me
Build quality - tinny construction, lotsa squeaks
Fun to drive - Toyota?
no, just FUNctional to drive
Overall value - ok to me since it seems to be accomplishing the objective i set out to achieve - reliability
I do like the heating element that warms the wiper blades on cold icy mornings...not as slick as the heated windshield on my range rover but neat nontheless.
4WD system is solid
The pull out gadget in the cargo area.
It rattles and squeaks, constantly oiling the tracks... Toyota WAY overthought the need and usefulness of this "rube goldberg".
Keep it simple, that is their forte.
No V-8 option is more about selling up to Sequoia, Land Cruiser or Lexus.
Give the consumer the option and charge them for it if they want it.
Tinny construction in a $40K vehicle is not acceptable.
Your customer wants a solid vehicle that feels like it too.
Another grand or two making it more bullet proof is not unreasonable.
More seat comfort.
Captains seats would be a welcome addition with leather that actually feels better than hard vinyl.
Bluetooth system needs work
