In addition, if your going to use a weight distributing hitch, you need to check to see if your receiver can handle one of these. At some point Toyota started putting receivers on that ... Read More

I purchased a 2007 4Runner last week with 8 miles on it when I drove off the lot. I placed 500 miles on it over the weekend and then the check engine light came on. I took the car into the dealer and they told me that they were going to have to pull the transmission and replace it. I don't want this situation to snowball and have repeated problems for ... Hi dad23. Toyota's lease program for this truck varies by region. I haven't seen its specific program for its Denver region recently, but in most of the country Toyota Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 4Runner SR5 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are .00181 and 60%, respectively. Unfortunately, the $1,250 customer cash that is available on this ... Read More

Welcome 914runner. I'm glad that you find this forum so informative. Let's take a look at the selling price that you were quoted for this truck. A base 2007 Toyota 4Runner R5 V8 4WD has a spread of around $3,400 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. You were quoted a discount of $2,979. That's probably around $500 over invoice, which isn't a bad price for this truck. Toyota's ... Read More

How funny. Just got out of a 2004 4Runner V-8 Sport Edition. I purchased a 2007 Pathfinder SE with Comfort, Premium and DVD packages. Here's why I chose the Pathy over getting another 4Runner: Ride, Noise, and Horsepower is all comparable. Pathy V6 vs. Toyo V8- While towing numbers are a plus for the Toyota, 7300 lbs, while the Pathy is 6000, I think MPG is the better compromise. How often ... Read More

I purchased my 2007 Limited with navigation last week. I have pretty much tried out everything. We love it. Comfortable ride, great Nav, back-up camera, bluetooth. Extremely nice car. Bought it in Scottsdale, AZ from Right Toyota. They are a great, no-nonsense dealer--my 3rd vehicle from them. Great price on a vehicle which is hard to come by. Was worth the wait.

You're very welcome, newdavidq. I'm glad that you have found these discussions to be so helpful. Illinois certainly is an unfriendly place to lease. I personally would roll the sales tax into my vehicle's lease payment if I was in your area. It is my understanding that a VC consists of plates with a special fluid inside. When the fluid is heated, it creates friction between the plates and transfers power to the rear wheels. Yes, looked at all those you mentioned (except Toureg and likewise Volvo XC90 - way too expensive and reliability reports depressing). MY personal impressions - Pathfinder - don't care for the new chopped off rear appearance. Explorer/Mountaineer - "look" too big and unimpressive MPG. Which led me to the 4runner (your final suggestion). From what I've read, heard, the Toyota will be dependdable, offer performance/features i need.
