Best car i've ever owned

by on
Vehicle: 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

As others have opined as well, this is the best car I have ever owned as well. At over 203,000 miles, it still runs better than some other SUVs I've owned have at 50,000. Have had no mechanical issues, and have only performed routine maintenance. The Edmunds reviewer who placed the lack of a third row seat as a con is a fool. An SUV isn't a mini-van/people mover first. It is a utility vehicle first, and cargo capacity is a higher priority than carrying over 5 people! With the rear seats folded down, which they do completely, there is a ton of storage capacity in the 4Runner. Not sure what compact SUV he was comparing to, but I've never seen one that has half as much capacity.

4-runner rocks

Vehicle: 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

this is simply an amazing vehicle.. have test drove and looked at all suvs, form hummers to escalades and this beats all. its performance is superb, the power to weight ratio is unmatchable, the four wheel drive capabilities are incredible. it is nothing short af amazing.

All but the brakes...

Vehicle: 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

for all that i like about the vehicle, like its quiet, smooth ride, towing capability and offroad capability, there are are few issues i'm bothered with. first, the brakes seem to "stick" when letting off the pedal after a complete stop. 2 dealers i've taken it to don't think it's a problem, and 1 couldn't even detect it. very annoying. second, remove the running boards, they are too low and too narrow to be anything but an obstacle. finally, the body moldings seem to collect water--i'm concerned that this may cause premature corrosion. bottom line: if i get the brakes fixed the overall rating will be about 9.5, if not, it's an 8, at best.

Wonderful suv

Vehicle: 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

This is a great truck, I am very impressed with the power, transmission and smooth ride. Since the day I purchased the truck, I've enjoyed driving it. I especially like the stereo, which is 6 CD in dash, a nice feature and it sounds great. Another nice feature is the auto lock rear tailgate and the double deck cargo area. Would recommend this car to anyone! The only poor feature is the headlights, not much output. I added an HID upgrade kit from CATZ HID to fix the problem, also, not enough headroom with sunroof if you are 6'2" or taller.

This has all the marbles

Vehicle: 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

After doing, months of research on buying an SUV I finally decided to purchase 2003 V8 Limited 4Runner. This vehicle is exceptional in every possible manner; however I'll mention a couple of things that this vehicle could benefit from: 1. Add memory seats to driver side (most competitors offer this now days) 2. Add more storage bins Besides these, the SUV is fantastic and I highly recommend it.
