We bought a 2007 XL7 two weeks ago. The second day we had the car the battery was dead. Had it replaced and then the charging system was not reading over 12.3 volts while running. Replaced the alternator but the car still ranges from 12.3 to 14.2 volts while running or idling. Last Saturday the front control stopped working. Could not change the radio, a/c or any other ... I have an '04 XL7 EX I bought new in Aug 2004. Everything going well until this summer. First, OEM Bridgestone tires were almost completely shot after 23,000 miles, just replaced with a new set of Uniroyal Tiger Paws with 80,000 warranty. Last week, I couldn't start the car (due to dead battery). Battery replaced in 23 months (24 month OEM warranty) no $$ help from ... Read More...

I have a 2004 XL-7. Like you my 4x4 will not disengage unless I reverse the vehicle or make a sharp right or left hand turn after disengaging the 4x4. I'm being told it has something to do with the turning radius of the car and tyres as they are worn down. My dealership and Suzuki are still looking into it. Hi everyone...! I love my 2004 Suzuki XL-7 and it runs like a champ. But I only bought the 2WD version because you can only use the 4WD off road only. This is my only complaint about it.
