Re: verona [poulsbokid]

Poulsbokid!! Dang, you still have that car?!!! I'm ALSO just checking back to satisfy my curiosity (plus I'm severely bored at work) in regards to Suzuki Motors company reacting on Verona issues........sadly I see they lost interest. For those that never ventured far back enough to read posts from August 2006 to September 2007, I was one of the rare members who ... Read More...

Stalling at 1100 miles!

I bought a new 2006 Verona with 17 miles on it in March 2007. At 1,100 miles the engine light came on followed by the engine jerking on the highway and engine stalling at complete stops. The dealership refunded my money only after I got my finance company involved. The finance company had not cut a check for the dealership yet and threatened not to if the dealership ... Read More...

Re: Getting nervous about all the negative postings! [blkbob]

blkbob, I did some research and you are absolutely right, but before I bought the verona I did know it was made by GM/DAEWOO and was a little leary about it but my wife and I fell in love the silky smooth I6. I have not enjoyed an I6 engine since my 1985 toyota supra, so we bought it. In a way I dont blame suzuki for wanting to distance themselves from that appliance of a vehicle, ... Read More...

Suzuki Drops Verona, adds a hybrid & pickup

According to Pres. Koichi Suzuki, the Verona will be discontinued at the end of the 2006 model year. Highest sales were recorded in 2004 at 12,874 units. Suzuki may look at bringing the Verona back to the US if it gets an improved powerplant, since US buyers prefer a larger V6 and at least a 5 speed automatic transmission. Suzuki also reported the return of the Swift ... Read More...

Death to Verona:Suzuki buys back GM stock!

According to a Suzuki dealership here in Illinois, The verona will no longer be made after 2006 or 2007. Last week Suzuki bought back 17 out of the 20% of Stock that GM had possesed. The other 3% is rumored to be being bought by Toyota, Completely negating the GM/Suzuki/Daewoo partnership. The amount of problems that Suzuki has had with the Verona, has they steaming ... Re: Gas Mileage for 2005 [carrino]

Suzuki's current Verona shares a chassis, powertrain and sheetmetal with the Daewoo Magnus sedan produced in Korea. We saw a rendering of the next Daewoo Magnus, due as a 2006 model, which could well mean that the Verona will be re made on this platform in '07. The current car was designed in Italy, and one look at the prototype suggested to us that the next Verona ... Read More...

Re: verona ad's and about the AC filter ( Tom/pciro)

Tom, Sorry Tom, I dont get it. Can you explain?. If you see the current ad, they flash the names of all other Suzuki cars. I do understand that this ad is geared to the younger folk. From what you say another specific ad should appear for the Verona. Do you remember that the Verona was targetted against the Camry?. I know that its only a year. But to match the Camry's sales ... Chicago Auto Show

Hi everyone, By the way, I agree with Tom on all of this hoopla about Suzuki not trying to sell these. I don't know where Chuck is from, but I have 3 Dealers in my area alone, and I know one of the service managers and at all three of these dealers, there is not one Verona sitting in the back of the lot, as a matter of fact, these cars are selling very good in the Chicago market, ...
