All Chevrolet Trackers are rebadged Suzuki Grand Vitara's. They were built on the same assembly line in Ingersoll Ontario Canada at the CAMI plant. If you look carefully you will spot Suzuki written on parts like the air filter housing or other cosmetic parts. I purchased my 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara for $2500!!! It had sorta high miles (109K) when I got it but I have had it for over a year now and it is the best vehicle I have ever owned! I have heard good things about the Jeep Liberty's as well...but wanted to give you my personal experienced opinion. My Grand Vitara does not do well on wet or snow covered roads though...even ... I'm around Montreal also, I know what you mean about the roads... :) Coming back to the GV, the good thing for us, is that there is a lot of Suzuki dealers around here, so you can shop around to get the good price. We are looking at a 2000 SUZUKI GRAND VITARA with about 65k miles asking $9k. It seems like there was alot of problems with that year yet the others rate really well. We are torn between it and a 2002 Jeep Liberty with 90k miles for the same price. The price alone makes me think there is a problem. Any advice? Thanks for your thoughts. :) Read More...

I will again address the flash issue to the service manager on Friday. Is there a way for them to contact you regarding this issue? I wouldn't want to post anything that would be against the rules and regulations of the forum. I do think that the service department is being very careful in what they disturb on the vehicle. Stand alone, wow, what a move forward for Suzuki to intro a new vehicle like the '07 XL-7!
