Review

My car eats my tires. 6 new tires in 2 years! I have to rotate them about every 2,000 miles or they will shred in no time. I have had to replace the brakes twice, both after only 8-10,000 miles, last time I paid up and replaced them outside of the dealership for big money and that seems to be helping. It feels unreliable, I won't drive it long distances as I don't trust my tires on road trips. Needed a new belt at 15, 000 miles and the paint chips off super easy. I would love to love this car because it is so super comfy, tons of room and easy to drive, but it has drained my wallet, it takes more to keep it running than it's worth. Perhaps I got lemon.

Favorite Features

Comfy seats, good head room. Like the 6 disc CD changer.

Suggested Improvements

Tires are terrible, something is off with how this car rides. Better brakes, makes loud engine noise and has a lot of rattles for only being 2 years old!

2005 Suzuki Aerio LX AWD 4dr Sedan (2.3L 4cyl 4A)

Review

Our car eats tires. We also lost our AWD. Our dealer has fixed the viscous coupler joint and aligned the tires. We still have a serious vibration at 55 mph and above. Our current tires are wearing fast.

Favorite Features

We bought the car.

Suggested Improvements

The Aerio has serious drive train design problems.

This car has eaten three sets of tires in 70,000 miles. Something is wrong with the rear end. The dealer says that nothing is wrong, yet it eats tires. I'm on my 4th set of tires, good tires Michelen's Symmetri. It also has worn out Goodyears and two sets of Bridgestones.

2005 Suzuki Aerio SX Fwd 4dr Sport Wagon (2.3L 4cyl 5M)

Review

I picked up this Aerio SX as sort of a joke, coming out of a 2004 Honda Accord Coupe with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 240 hp V6 engine. It was cheap and I thought that I would have it for a month and get rid of it. Well, almost seven months later I still have it and for some reason I really enjoy driving it. It does not have very good handling or impressive pick up, but the shifter is a joy to use, it's extremely comfortable, and I am impressed with the features. So give it a try, you'll be impressed.

Favorite Features

The seats, how it has lots of luxury features for the price, and lots of room.

Suggested Improvements

Give it better pick up, bigger tires and wheels, and the suspension needs more refinement.

Review

I have had my Aerio SX Wagon for a year now and it is great. It handles well and looks good. I searched for a good car with good horsepower and came across the Aerio. It's 2.3 DHOC engine is great. I wanted to get another one but Suzuki does not make them anymore. I will have to settle for the Sedan. This car can do more if it had more performance parts.

Favorite Features

I love steering and the power. The sound system is OK too.

Suggested Improvements

Give it bigger rims, a better sound system, and it needs more accessories for engine performance.

I love the roomy interior. The 155 horsepower engine helps when merging into fast highway traffic. I got a lot of standard features that are optional with other small cars. The warranty is great, too. I don't understand why it doesn't sell better.

Favorite Features

The horsepower, roomy interior, front/side air bags, and fuel efficiency.

Review

I'm a regional sales manager and cover at least 25,000 miles a year. When fuel prices started to go up, I traded my Suzuki XL-7 (88,000 troublefree miles) for an Aerio SX wagon. Never liked the Aerio SX wagon design, but it grew on me; now I love it. I wanted AWD, but it's not offered with the manual transmission. I had to have the manual. After my first test drive, I said, "This is a blast." And it is unbelievable how much room is in this car! I haul a lot of stuff. I even bought a rooftop carrier for those extra big loads. I'm 6'2" and could wear a Stetson hat in it. It seats four passengers very well. I always get at least 33 mpg, even when city driving is mixed in. 37 mpg is the most I've gotten, and it has plenty of power.

Favorite Features

This car is so much fun to drive! The red lighted interior is great at protecting night vision and looks really cool. I have 38,000 trouble free miles, so far (18 months). It runs like the day I bought it. It gets great gas mileage and has lots of power, too. I love the 6-CD changer and steering wheel controls for those long drives.

Suggested Improvements

The factory tires only lasted 15,000 miles. I replaced them with Mastercraft Sensys01. I would actually accept a little less power (and less temptation to speed...) if I could get 40+ mpg. It seems like it would still haul a large load over hill and dale with no trouble. I need an AWD model with manual tranny.

Review

I bought my Aerio brand new, a year ago and have done nothing but repair this piece of junk since. Its front sway bar bushings came out of the mounting brackets four times, I have replaced six tires because they kept being destroyed by a mechenical defect, I've had had three alignments done (the dealer took it to a body shop last time, maybe they had to straighten the frame), the power door locks failed, I had the front lower control arm bolts almost fall out, had styrofoam fall off the rear bumper (under painted plastic cover), and the heat shield for the exhaust manifold and the hood were lose and rattling the day I drove it off the lot. This was my first new car and it has given me more problems than my last five used Hondas combined.

Favorite Features

The AWD is good in the snow. The factory stereo works well for drowning out all the component failure noise.

Suggested Improvements

This car needs to ger better gas mileage and have better quality. Suzuki should stop sacrificing quality and reliability to increase its profit margin. In other words, STOP BUILDING JUNK!

Review

Initially, when I brought this vehicle, I was terrified by the gas mileage that I originally had. I wasn't happy with the it and I spoke with the dealership. They told me that it was normal and that it would get better within the next 5,000 miles. I was really skeptical but they were true to their word. I currently have 10,000 miles on the car and I never regret my decision on buying this vehicle.

Favorite Features

I love how this car is fast, peppy, spacious, and cheap.

Suggested Improvements

Better gas mileage

Review

My husband and I have owned two Aerios. The first we bought used, and bought the second when we traded in the used Aerio because we wanted some of the updated features it had. The Aerio has been nothing but reliable. It had great acceleration and is agile and superbly handles city and highway traffic. It's easy to back out and park like a small car but has almost the interior space of a touring sedan. It's more attractive than much of its competition and offers a comparable or better engine to boot.

Favorite Features

The silver on the instrument panel and surrounding the control panel on the door, also the large trunk and the acceleration. The subwoofer is a nice bonus to the sound system.

Suggested Improvements

It could use a better center console, larger wheels, and a sunroof. Also, it needs to have standard keyless / remote entry.
