Review of the 2004 Suzuki Aerio

  • As the most affordable all-wheel-drive car on the market, the Aerio may suit a few, but for the most part it lags behind its more refined competition.

  • Safety
  • Pros

Wagon-body style, available all-wheel drive, affordable price, roomy interior, powerful standard engine, solid crash test scores.

  • Cons

Almost no storage space in the cabin, low-grade interior plastics, sloppy handling, no side airbags available.

  • What's New for 2004

A 155-horsepower, 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine; a seven-speaker stereo; and a driver-seat armrest are now standard on all Aerios. LX sedans (formerly called GS) and SX wagons now offer heated mirrors, foglights, a revised rear spoiler and an automatic climate control system on cars equipped with ABS. There's also a new 15-inch alloy wheel design.

I can tell my Suzuki Aerio is an excellent, fun, and cute car. It hasn't given me any problems so far. I have only changed the tires this month and I have been monitoring its oil and filter.

Great little car

Vehicle: 2004 Suzuki Aerio LX Fwd 4dr Sedan (2.3L 4cyl 5M)

After an accident rendered my wife's Escort undriveable we decided to replace it with something just as economical but we wanted something with a little more pizzaz. We didn't have a lot of money to spend so the Corollas and Civics were priced out of our range. We briefly considered a Hyundai or Kia but just didn't get the warm fuzzy feeling with them.As soon as we sat in the Aerio we were hooked. The headroom is massive (enough to accomodate a six foot tall person with inches to spare). There are more standard features on this car than you can shake a stick at (AC,6 disc CD,PW,PDL and heated mirrors are standard!).We average almost 30 MPG and as far as power....Buckle up and hang on!!!
