i did lots of research looking for a car that combined practical space, versatile in all weather conditions, cross-over aspects, a sense of adventure but confidence....something different from the hundreds of dreary over-sized SUV's out there. always knew Subaru were renowned in the AWD adventure/sport category but was surprised by how versatile the Outback is.
Plenty of power in the 2.5i motor, smooth CVT transmission, sure-footed chassis with ever-adjusting AWD (you can feel it working in bad conditions), adventure feel, fantastic space and thoughtful features in the Premium trim which includes the weather package and all-weather mats and cloth heated seats.
all that's missing in the Premuim package is a light tow hitch for a bike or cargo rack. although the wagon space is very generous.
