I traded in my 2008 camry for a 2012 outback and I'm extremely happy with it.
The level of comfort and smooth ride matches the camry only it sits up a little higher.
I went through a broker so I didn't get my first choice in color but got a great deal.
For $22.8k you can't beat it.
The base stereo is satisfactory and it's not quite as quick as the camry but it's a lot of fun to drive and has AWD which comes in pretty handy in Colorado.
This is the best car I've owned.
2012 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premium 4dr Wagon AWD (2.5L 4cyl )
Great car , traded in my 2003 Honda Pilot , feels very stable and safe on the road , sticks to the road like a magnet , manual paddle shifters are good if you want to have a little fun with the car
a) Should have automatic door locks
b) Blue tooth interface needs to be improved , for example if you turn on the car and then switch on the blue tooth on your phone , the system does not detect the phone , you have to turn the engine off for your device to pair
c) Position of the car charger is very awkwad , the gear shift knob blocks easy access to it
d) Position of the wiper control knobs and the switches is a little out of place
e) not a fan of the side view mirrors , it took me a while to get the proper settings
