2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT AWD 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

Review

In 2005 Subaru introduced a new body style and terrific turbo 2.5 liter engine. With a combination of high performance and good fuel economy along with leather seating, fine sounding sound system and a few options like a short throw shifter the Subaru Legacy GT is truly a forgotten gem.... Built for fun and built to last!

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT AWD 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

Review

Never had any problems with this car even with driving it across the country a few times. This being my second Subaru and its performance in the snow and winter conditions is everything I've expected.

Best Features

Well, I love having the heated seats and dual climate control. The seats are comfortable and the car has a nice quieter ride. It's more like an A4 Audi without the problems that go with that. Finally how can I forget the Turbo, the car is faster then a WRX and you don't get followed by the cops.

Worst Features

Turbo Lag, as this car performs great on the street. It needs a little more bottom end. Maybe the 07 with the Si drive fixes this problem, not sure. Besides that, would recommend this car to anyone.

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT AWD 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

Review

I bought my LGT brand new almost 3 years ago, and I still think this car is one of the best kept secrets. I've had so many complements on its looks, and everyone is surprised when they hear it's a Subaru. The AWD gives you more confidence on the road, even though the stock allseason tires aren't the best. The black interior is nice, and the cloth seats have held up well for 40000 miles. It has great acceleration, even when it was stock, but there was noticeable turbo lag. The manual shifting on the auto is nice, but there is hesitation. Gas mileage could be better but you pay to play. Warranty repairs: driver seat heating elements coming through foam twice, O2 sensor, dash rattle (not fixed

Best Features

Simple, yet good looking interior design. The dash gauges have an initial startup sweep, which is very cool. Seats hold you in well, but can get uncomfortable during long road trips. Boxer exhaust note with aftermarket exhaust. Love the acceleration, exterior styling, handling, frame less doors.

Worst Features

Too many interior rattles that the dealer can't hear, auto climate control is no good, manual shifting on auto is sluggish, exterior paint chips easily and needs HID headlights! And please bring the Legacy STI to the US!

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT AWD 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 5M)

Review

Pros: All in all this is a good car with exceptional handing abilities. It is a fine car and holds the road well. The turbo engine is super when it kicks in. The car is quiet and clean. Cons: Expensive to maintain especially the tires. Turbo burns premium unleaded. Somewhat narrow (hip room) front seating. Typical turbo lag. Fuel economy could be better for a car this size.

Best Features

Boxer turbo engine, heated seats, AWD.

Worst Features

Wider cockpit, Automatic headlights, oil change monitor.

Review

I love my Subaru Legacy GT. I've had it a little over a year and it's fun to drive handles like a dream' 0-60 5.7 seconds and it's not too bad on gas.

Worst Features

Well this improvement is coming on the 2008 but iI was gonna say another gear to make it 6 gears.
