I need something low cost to ownership with good gas mileage....I'm leaning toward the impreza but i have never owned a subaru before.....i have a rav4 right ... Read More
Hi Car Man! I was wondering about the Chase Subaru money factor and residual for the 2013 Impreza Sport Premium w CVT. 36-months, 12k per year. There were conflicting #'s given by two local dealers...I am in Nassau County, New York. I contacted Chase, but they advised that the information could only be disclosed by the dealerships. Also, any incentives or hold backs? Both dealers said no, but just making sure. ... Read More
Hi Car Man, Can you please let me know the residual value and money factor for a 36 month, 12K mile/year lease on a 2013 Subaru Impreza 5-Door Base? Thank you. Fredrick.
Thanks Car_man! Could you also share the current money factor and residual for a Subaru XV Crosstrek Premium automatic leased for 12k miles per year?
Yes I do zoomvt. Chase's March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 Subaru Impreza Hatchback 2.0i with 15,000 miles per year are .00080 and 61% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
Usually they let you pay up to a certain amount on a CC, but it may depend on your credit score. They let me charge $2000 but I was Tier I, which was nice because I have the Chase Subaru card and immediately got $60 credit.
I cannot believed I was lied to. A co-worker bought a WRX several weeks after I got mine, and he paid downpayment with his credit card. My dealer said it was Subaru of America Financing that will not accept credit card as form of downpayment. What a BS. As payback, I gave them all 1's in their stupid survey. E
Here are the guides that I was talking about: http://techinfo.subaru.com/ Its under "online reference." These guides are like what the dealers use if they don't know how to dig into it and these are the ones that I downloaded. The 3 day subscription costs $35. But don't buy the subscription, I can help you for free. :] Also, here is a video on how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObWstR_Ef_M You don't need ... Read More
Awesome, thanks for getting back so quickly...I'll look into tackling the door panels... What Subaru subscription are you referring to? Are they PDFs of instructions for maintenance tasks? Do you have a link to it?
I completely forgot about this thread. Sorry guys! I actually didn't go with the guy that I was talking to. I may buy some of the 3m stuff yet, but we will see. Amazon was running a sale on Dynamat and I bought some of that. Its $50 now. :] IT MADE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!!! At least to me! Now I actually bought the door kit I think. And I ... Read More
(new to this forum) I researched on Consumer Reports and other sources before I bought my 2013 Impreza Sport Premium wagon in December so I knew that 26mpg was a more realistic number than the "ideal" 36mpg hway in the Subaru promotional literature. I drive 60mi round trip work/home daily which is about 70% slow traffic/30% highway (NYC and suburbs). I can't say I'm thrilled that I'm averaging only 24.5mpg but ... Read More
Congrats, I believe that is fully loaded.
Picked up last week.Dark grey metallic,moonroof/nav.,all weather floor mats, cargo net rear, splash guards, rear bumper applique, roof spoiler, body side molding,auto-dimming mirror/compass and wheel locks.MSRP $26,725 Paid 25,650. So far I am very pleased with my car, although only have approx.100 miles. I am in New York.
Nice ride. :) The only items I would add are the sports grille and navigation with Starlink/Aha. The sports grille is just eye candy, but it looks so much better than the stock grille. Navigation is debatable for some folks here, but it's something I want. Starlink/Aha will be part of navigation, but that means waiting till this summer when the 2014 Imprezas arrive. http://wot.motortrend.com/subaru-introduces-starlink-infotainment-system-with-ah- - - a-on-2014-forester-311237.html Bob
Just to clarify, the price was $23188+tax/license/fees. OTD was ~$25k. So $24k for Sports Premium sounds about right. See if you can squeeze them some more. But then they'd play the guilt trip and make you look cheap. One beef I had was that they said Subaru of America Finance will not accept credit card as form of downpayment. I've bought BMW, MBZ, Mini using credit card as downpayment to take ... Read More
May I ask how you got such a good deal? They're trying to get me for $24k OTD on a sports premium. Not a good price in my opinion.
There's a small chance I may buy the exact same car, even down to the color. Lemme know how you like it.
Picked up 2013 Subaru Impreza Sports Limited last weekend. Emailed several dealers to find out how much they'd take off from MSRP by going through the internet sales manager. They can do $1400 off MSRP. Since I talked with an actual sales person the night before, thought it'd be right to go back to him and tell him to take $1400 off MSRP. If you are firm with them saying another ... Read More
They can adapt the steering wheel controls, probably the Bluetooth also but adapters cost extra, plus labor. OEMs have come down, used to be $2200 now $1000 for Navi, so becoming better values now.
If you replace the factory radio and/or navigation, and go aftermarket, you will likely lose your integrated Bluetooth and steering wheel radio controls. Bob
Reviews on the OEM system aren't that good, search YouTube for the CNET check the tech. I would look at better aftermarket ones, just make sure you get adapters for the steering wheel controls and consider adding a backup cam while you're at it. Last time I went to the Sony store they had installers right there in the store.
Hello, Has anyone done any research into who the manufacturer is for the factory installed system? I recently purchased a 2013 Impreza and the dealership originally told me that they would be able to install a like for like system. Now they've told me it's been discontinued. I'm having trouble finding info online. I don't want to get taken advantage of. Please help..... 1) Does anyone know what the manufacturer is ... Read More
Just checking out the options available for the 2013 Impreza Sport Limited and wondering which factory options you all enjoy or find useful. Any options that you thought weren't worth buying? Hi All: I'm considering replacing my 2001 Forester L with a 2013 Impreza Sport Limited. My Forester has served me well and I'm reluctant to let it go, but I think its time. I've been lurking on the threads for a couple of weeks and have seen some forum members getting prices as low as $1,000 under invoice. My plan is to do what I did over 12.5 years ago... email ... To be honest, now that I have my Fiesta, I think our Forester is pretty noisy, too. It isn't, but it seems that way since the Fiesta is so insanely quiet. Ford put quite a bit of effort into sound deadening, though, including a heavily insulated engine compartment (compared to Subaru), sound-deadening windshield (not sure how that works!), and wheel wells that are lined with a felt-like material rather than hard ... Hello, Can you give me the the money factor and residual value for the 2013 Subaru Impreza Sport Premium Hatchback for October ?
Well we finally got somewhere today. We had to take it to the owner and he made it right. I have to say I am impressed with the owner. I talked with him earlier this morning and by 1 pm he had an answer for me and a very fair solution. It turns out the car was ordered wrong and then reordered a month later but salesman never said anything and ... Read More
@dolemitebmf, the two cars you picked aren't very comparable. They are different classes. That Tuscon is more comparable to the Forester, CRV or Rav4. I will say this, after owning 4 Honda CRV's that the Impreza is more fun to drive than any SUV because it has better steering, suspension, is lighter and has a lower center of gravity. So, you can corner faster, stop quicker and get better mpg from ... Read More
My daughter just got off the phone again with Subaru of America HQs and they still are giving her the run around and have no answer way it will take till December to possibly deliver the car. My daughter ordered a Limited Impreza on the first day the 2013 were open online in mid August. These sales could easily unwind. Why does the press publish these phoney sales numbers? At the ... Read More
Car or crossover? The XV Crosstrek will be closer to the Tucson in price and height. I'd look at that, it might just be the perfect middle. I test drove an Impreza and it's one of the better CVTs. Quiet for a small car, decent ride. Didn't push the handling much. I liked it more than the Mazda3 I drove back-to-back. Best mileage you'll find with AWD. The Tucson I test ... Read More
premium package and remote starter. The Hyundai is $4,000 more expensive. Anyone own either, or have an opinion as to which would be a better deal? I test drove both and really liked both of them.
Well, I did it. We were shopping for a commuter car for my wife to drive to work. She was close to getting the Hyundai Elantra, and I suggested she drive the new Impreza. She said she liked the way it handled a lot better. This was a base model with just a few options, so the bad part was that it lacked cruise control (a deal breaker) and iPod input, ... Read More

Looks like it will be tough to get much under MSRP since the 2012 impreza has well exceeded Subaru's sales expectations (expected 50% incr but getting over 150% incr). Just finding someone with more than 2-3 in stock is tough. Hi jth, Given what you said about usage, I think you cannot go wrong with the new 2013 Subaru Legacy (as advised by tyguy) - this especially since you do not need the hatchback's space. Here is the link to a recent review... http://www.thecarconnection.com/overview/subaru_legacy_2013
I think we already covered that topic in detail before... more ratios doesn't necessarily mean better FE or lower revs at highway speeds. Sometimes, it just means more ratios. Considering how conservative Subaru is at introducing new technology, I was surprised that the 2012 Impreza received both a new engine and a new CVT in the same model year. So, thinking we would get new engines and two new transmissions simultaneously ... Read More
Stopped by my local Subaru dealer today to see if they had any 2012 Imprezas in yet. The sales rep I talked with said not until January, unless it was a pre-order--then December. If they'd hold off on the pre-orders to January, they could call it a 2013. ;)
