Review
The car has really kept us moving. It it good on gas (about 25 hwy) and rides smoothly. The turn radius is good for parking. The hatch back is ideal for around town for a trip to the grocery or even hardware store, as the back seats easily fold down (2/3 split) to allow one person in back while extra room is created for long items such as garden tools or lumber. The ride could be a little quieter but then that would mean more weight thus increasing mileage. So can't have everything. The AWD is great in heavy downpours or when snow begins to fall. I really feel secure to the road, even during these conditions.
Favorite Features
Hatchback and fold downs seats let me fit anything. The AWD really help as Michigan's snow begins to fall. The gas mileage is great to get the kids to and fro and get us to work.
Suggested Improvements
It should be less noisy. Cruising on the highway tends to be a bit windy sounding. The room in back seat is not ideal for tall persons.

Review
Very sharp, attractive car draws attention from everyone. A blast to drive. Very easy to control, with a little bit of understear. Great low end torque allows it to hang with cars such as the Eclipse GST and GSX from a stand still. Holds its value very well. People that own it don't want to sell it. If you are looking for more horsepower, there are many easy bolt on upgrades available, or you can always do a motor swap. Auto transmission is good, but not recommended if you are thinking about adding a lot of power to it. I purchased my Impreza RS brand new, and now Subaru's are just about all I will drive. Oh, and the AWD is great on a track, street, or in the dirt.
Favorite Features
Body styling, low end torque, vehicles weight is 400-500 lbs less then a new Impreza STi.
Suggested Improvements
More top end power, but now you can get a WRX or STi if that's all you are looking for. Car seems to dent easily. Stronger transmission would be nice, but not needed for 99% of owners.

Bought it fron uncle at EXTREMELY lowprice and it is a great car. My wholelife i have been a scooby freak eversince the familys first subaru (loyale).Every person i get into one of these never goes elsewhere. Great car, handles great in snow, fun to drive, extremely reliable, and quite peppy even in automatic form. I love the steering andhandling and on dry road you can feelthe tarmac sucking grip of the "Subarusymetrical AWD", Comfortable car also. All around great car and would recomendany Subaru to anyone no matter what their needs there is a Subaru for them.

AWD, engine, engine and exhaust note,steering/handling, RELIABILITY!!! Great car!

i got this car before i even got a liscence. i love it so much, the only compliant is the cup holders, mine broke off with a full cup of soda from taco bell.i love the seats in this car. i love the fact that it has more torque than horse power, it runs like a scalded beast.stock, its faster than any other stock 4 cyl car, well with a few exceptions. i wouldnt trade iot for anything but maybe another.

AWD, handling, the rims, that great boxer sound after i did my exhaust.

Review
Generally it's a good car, it's safe, comfortable and drives smooth. It's a nice size for me and handles and responds very well.
Favorite Features
AWD is great in the snow and rain. Handles well and is quick. power windows and locks are nice too.
Suggested Improvements
Have had a lot of problems with brakes and brake noise. All the dealer says is "It's normal with subarus."

Review
I have had 4 cars, and I'm only 20 years old. I love cars, my parents started me out with a Subaru Impreza L. I sold it and got a Mitsubishi 3000GT, because I wanted something sportier and faster. Well that got old quick when I noticed it was a gas hog, and only took premium gas. I sold it, and got a VW Jetta GLS, something that was easier on gas, but I went right back to the problem of having little power, and once a huge winter hit. I felt lost without my AWD. As soon as summer hit, I started looking at the Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS. They are good looking, AWD, and faster than any average car. It fit me perfect. Best all-around car anyone could find.

The looks of the exterior is what attracted me to the car.
Suggested Improvements
Faster get-up-n-go. It isnt as fast as it should be with the size engine that it has.

Review
AWD is no excuse to drive with abandon, but it instills more confidence in inclement weather. Despite small engine, lacking turbo of new Subarus, acceleration is adequate. Braking is never a problem. Uncommon exterior appearance turns heads (but I'm tiring of others trying to race me.) Front seats are comfortable over long distances; offer good support when cornering. Climate system works well; use of A/C hardly affects power. Components (brakes, exhaust) have lasted longer than expected.

Modest gas milage; numerous fit/finish issues; absurd locations for cup holders; paint easily blemished; irksome lack of lighting in glove box/trunk irksome; transmission is weak link in otherwise fun-to-drive car; power window elevators scratch windows

Review
I bought my RS Coupe used with 75,000 miles on it and it runs like it's brand new. It handles as good as my friend's Porsche 911. It's fast off the line and has torque through all the gears. A joy to drive on the highways and around town. I get compliments left and right. My friends all have to have one now. One ride and they're hooked.

Suggested Improvements
The cup holder above controls is rediculous. I would change door construction to prevent rattling. Premature cracking of exterior rubber.

I never had a warranty or reliability problem with this car. One recall for oxygen sensor. Probably one one of the most ovelooked carsin the world.

Review
This car is super practical for a single, active person and really fun to drive. Acceleration and handling are great. I can't think of a better fit for me at this time in my life.
Favorite Features
Handling - very fun to drive. Size - perfect for hauling things around, dogs, gear, etc... Just enough room for a few friends too. Gas mileage is good too!
Suggested Improvements
Seat covering material seems to be wearing a little more quickly than in past experiences I've had with Hondas.
