Update after 8000 miles the Forester is trouble free. Mileage has bumped up a little. I've had 2 - 2 day averages over 30 MPG on the route. I got down to 22.5 MPG one tank plowing through mud all day. Still double the 10.5 MPG the Tundra gets on those days. I am just amazed at the AWD system. In wet weather I cruise straight down slimy, muddy roads stress free where, even with 4WD, I used to be on edge ready for something to get loose and send me sliding. Again, I have driven a lot of vehicles in bad conditions - nothing else even compares. If other AWD's are like this, the same goes for them. The last rave for this Forester is the turning radius. On most roads you can make a u-turn to service a box on the left side of the car. wow! A full 3ft shorter than a Camry.Report it
