t, I ended up with the BMW X3. It's nice, but I have kinda second-guessed my decision. It's very nice and handles great...but it feels ritsy. We had to go somewhere over the weekend where we had to park in grass and it was muddy. I felt like the car was too pretty to be muddy. Anyone know of a really good service dealership in NJ? I'm considering taking my car in for warranty work - all the AM radio stations whine enough to give me a headache. Is there anybody else out there who thinks it's regrettable that Subaru has essentially abandoned station wagons? I love my 2003 Legacy wagon and chose Subaru specifically because it was a station wagon and had AWD. Wagons have always seemed like one of the backbones of Subaru's success -- similar to Volvo. I don't know how you can squeeze that kind of mpg of of a Forster. I have had my 09 will be 5 months in another week and have 13,500 miles on it. Just completed two long trips last two weeks, one from Providence, RI to Halifax, NS than back thru New Brunswick than home, and just todam came back from another three day trip, 1000 miles almost exactly to several locations ... I'd say that some of the content is a bit suspect rather than not well written, which is why I highlighted certain phrases. The larger point though is that FHI lost money during a period when sales were strong relative to the other manufacturers. Yes, they lost less money, but they still are/were in the red. Any v1.0 is a risk, less so with Subaru, but that's always the case. I had a 1998 Forester, first year, and it was great over the 9 years I had it. So I did it again - and got a 2009, first year for gen 3. So far so good. The 2005 Legacy did have a not-so-great crash test score for side impacts, and then the 2006 was quickly revised and scored a lot better. That's rare, though, ... Read More...

I've always been a Forester fan, so I will step up to defend it. Truth be known, on paper the Legacy/Outback often do better, we thought the same when we got our 2002 Legacy L.
