forced to buy Subaru with its dated 4-speed transmission again Mitsu got their CVT first, kudos, Subaru's is due out soon. Slushboxes are indeed dated - even with gimmicky manual shift modes. I kinda doubt the Sante Fe uses the same system as the Porsche 911...maybe the same type of system. Not too long ago the 911 Turbo employed a viscous coupling like Subaru's MT system. EVO is off topic here, and besides, that Edmunds track test you keep referring to summed it up right up front: Is the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT the Evo of crossovers? I went to the Mitsubishi Canada website. The first thing that struck me was how similar the body shape of the Outlander is to the Forester and the Outlander. I wonder whether the designers were the same. Outlander does slalom much faster and tows much more We shopped 4 cylinder models, non-turbo (so did the OP by the way), and the Forester actually tows more. It can meet that 2400# requirement someone just asked about, but the 4 banger Mitsu cannot. The V6 can, but again, this is a split decision. The slalom was impressive but was that pre-production? Seems like this might not apply to the 2008 Forester. At least mysubaru doesn't mention it for mine (yet...) I still need to take mine in for the 11-89-08 TSB reflash related to revving. Is there anything special the car wants when it is in "learning" mode after an ECU reflash? More highway miles, the regular stop-n-go mix, or ? Read More...
