2004 Subaru Forester XT AWD 4dr Wagon w/Premium Leather Package (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 4A)

Review

I have always driven a Ford truck or
SUV (F150, F250, Explorer,
Expedition). I was looking for a SAFE
smaller SUV / Wagon / Hatchback that
had AWD/4WD and leather or vinyl
seats. The Forester was the only
vehicle that earned top safety marks.
It is icing on the cake that the
Forester is fun to drive (I find myself
looking for reasons to go for a
drive). I have driven more miles in 2
months I have had the Forester than I
normally drove in 6 months.

Best Features

Turbo engine, sun roof, AWD.

Worst Features

Move the seat heater buttons off of the console. They are too easily turned on by accident (dogs, children, adults accidently bumping them)

2004 Subaru Forester XS AWD 4dr Wagon (2.5L 4cyl 4A)

Review

fairly quiet ride especially compared
to the CR-V. nice smooth acceleration
uphill. doesn't mind "high speed!"
lots of nice extras come standard.

SO FAR SO GOOD...ONLY 600 MILES!

Best Features

nice, smooth acceleration up hill, corners well, fun to drive

Worst Features

no place for my pocketbook!extened armrest doesn't reach a short driver. seat is uncomfortable for short legs. had to buy a gel cushion.climate control/vent system is confusing

2004 Subaru Forester XS AWD 4dr Wagon (2.5L 4cyl 4A)

Review

First time owner of an SUV/4WD vehicle.
Selected the Subaru Forester for its
looks and safety record. Really am
impressed with the way it handles and
the way it hugs the road. Love the way
it drives.

Best Features

Am impressed with the way the interior looks. I like that there is not a lot of extra pockets and trays that have no use. This is an efficent vehicle.

Worst Features

There seems to be a slight play/delay in the excelerator that I don't care for, don't know if that is just in this vehicle or standard for all Foresters.

2004 Subaru Forester X AWD 4dr Wagon (2.5L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Well, the vehicle is great it feels
very stable when you drive, it
responds quickly, the brakes respond
well, the manueverability is very
good.

In terms of snowy weather, you have to
try to spin out or fishtail, it will
spin out and/or fishtail but you
really have to push it.

My mother drives a Mercedes ML500 2004
and when she stepped in my car she
loved the feeling of it and she felt
safe in the car.

I have the lowest model, but i believe
the highest model is quite a car,
leather interior and the dealership
said the top of the line Forrester
beats the Impreza WRX in the quarter
mile or was it the STI (for some
reason i doubt the claim).

Best Features

four wheel drive, the comfort inside, and the manuevering capabilities, also the cargo space is spacious enough for most things.

Worst Features

The interior and the doors are rather cheap, i'd say increase the price a little bit and make the interior and the structure of the car a bit more stable. Also a good armrest would be great.
