2002 Subaru Forester L AWD 4dr Wagon (2.5L 4cyl 5M)
This is my first Subaru after having two Saabs and a Jeep. I was pleased with this vehicle from day one. About 13000 miles (after the second tire rotation) I notice the rear tires were showing an abnormal wear patteren which caused me to have the wheels aligned at my cost of 69 dollars at the Subaru dealer. I now have 32000 miles on this vehicle with no problems. I am very satisfied.
There are several characteristics I value very much. I think the outstanding feature besides safety is the secure handeling in heavy rain and in everyday driving. The egine is powerful at all rpms and the seat suport is very good.
I would like to see a more aggressive looking body style. The soccer mom station wagon looks doen't fit. The accessories are considerably over priced by about 100%. I.e. The gage pack is listed at 639.00$ when one can buy an after market unit for ~$279.00.
