The reason that the O2 sensor would go out is because of poor driving, either red lining it or just generally abuse the engine. the reason the catalytic converter went out is because the O2 sensor wasn't replace soon enough and the catalytic converter couldn't manage the fumes that were coming out of the engine. They are hand in hand. The problems was from your neglect. My Subaru is a 2001 forester 2.4L with 180,000 Miles and i am just barely having issues with the sensor. But i bought the part and am going to install it myself because I DON'T NEGLECT MY CAR!!!!Report it
